Are you sure? I haven't heard anything about this, not in the Argentine press or anywhere else.. We'll have to see, hopefully it isn't true. I'd like Estudiantes to compete well in the tournament (just not as well as River) and keep him.. If he were to leave though, I'd prefer he go to a different league, such as the Italian, in which many clubs were considering buying him.

Bayern has with Udinese, Villarreal, PSV the best scouts in South America so i have no doubt he will pan out. Although I am not thinking so highly of him.

best scouts? Is this a joke?
Ever heard of Santa Cruz, J. Dos Santos and Demichelis (our scouts called him the Beckenbauer of South America - wtf:o )
All 3 are big busts.

You heard of Pizarro?
Demichelis is ok in his position and Dos Santos is very young but a good player, Guerrero will also be a good player but is also just 21

Pizarro is a good player but he was scouted and bought by Werder Bremen.
Guerrero is Hamburg's 5 th striker.:D

I think sosa will give BM a lot in midfield he's a great player handles the ball passes around dangerous towards goal but listen to this he needs some good strikers playing up front or else even if u bring zidane it really wont make a difference with santa cruz :/

Atletico Madrid came with 8 million Euros for him, and would let him stay until June in Argentina. Estudiantes not even bothered listening to the offer.
He won't leave for less than 12-15. And with Simeone's and Veron's connections ...

Thats good from Estu a guys like Sosa who's a probably a future NT playmaker and was one of the main 3 players for Estu that helped win the championship shouldnt really leave cheaply not to mention hes young as well.

I'd hate to see another Argentine end up in Germany. Nothing against the league, but I can't see where the style of play suits the Argentine style of playing. To me it's scary that one of the most consistent Argentines in Germany has been Diego Klimowicz. Nothing against Diego, but we all know where he stands in the pecking order of Argentine attackers. Demechellis is the one that puzzles me. First year in BM was meh. Then next thing you know he's the one that anchors BM defensively from a Dmid position. He get's snubbed from the WC, throws a tantrum and we never hear from him again. Is he injured maybe? The whole Beckenbaur comment may have been a bit over the top but Martin was definitely an awesome prospect when he left river and looked like he was actually going to live up. All that being said, I hope he gets back to form and becomes one of those players we Argentines can be proud of.

What constitutes "best scouts in South America"? Of the clubs mentioned, can you know more than a handful of players that have made their clubs proud? To me scouting is a crap shoot and I personally put little faith in how these guys evaluate talent. What I find more of is players that flop for the team that scouted/signed them turn around and make an impact with the team that they ended up with. Of the clubs you mentioned above, I do agree that Bayern does probably have the best scouts in South America. They've at least shown they can bring the players in. Of course scouts and scouting programs are only good so long as the players produce.

On top of my head:
PSV:
Alex
Farfan
Gomes
Mendez
Salcido
Villarreal
Gonzalo
Matias Fernandez
Barbosa (going to be a good goalie in few years)
Udinese
Aguilar
Montiel
Baretto
Felipe
C. Zapata
Pino
Alejandro Sanchez
Vargas
Some are going to be very good players and will sold for a lot of money.
Villarreal recently have been looking for more experienced players from Europe like Samboza, Fuentes, Franco and Sorin. But still most do good with them

He is no bust, I can assure you.
He has been injured this year along with many others. You'd be hard pressed to find a Bayern player this season who has been consistent throughout, with a few exceptions of course. He is still important to the club, his being able to play in DM and CB paid off tremendously when Lucio was injured and he filled in. Him pairing up with van Buyten was much much better than the Lucio/Van Buyten partnership.
I have no clue about who this Sosa guy is or how he plays, can anyone fill me in on him? Is he all dazzle or is there substance to his game?

Milan compared him to Kaka, in Europe magazines said he plays more like Totti so hes a good passer he dribbles a bit and has good ball controlling hes a good free kicker and has the body to cover the ball when he has it :>

i can only add a couple off things to this as castroman's description is pretty good. he has a good dribble and control, as well as a good shot and finishing, grest vision and great passing. biggest defect is that sometimes you lose him in a game, he doesnt have much flair. and he tries to dribble too much but that isnt often the dissappearing act is his beiggest flaw.

Yet he was huge in the game against boca. IMO his consistency will increase with more experience, and time he has.
