Kilbane landed himself in hot water in the 53rd minute when after putting in a poor cross he was jeered by a section of Sunderland fans behind the goal.
In a moment of frustration the Irishman made a gesture towards the travelling band of supporters. They instantly started to shout "off off" and Reid wasted no time substituting the former West Brom man.
Why does this feel like the beginning of a sinking ship?

They're certainly one my list of three to go down: West Brom, Sunderland and Bolton.

From SAFC (http://www.safc.com/news.asp?article=101834&lid=204)
Sunderland passed it well in the first half and again Claudio Reyna was behind most of their good play, but they went behind against the run of play in the 23rd minute and it was down to an mistake by Myhre.
It also indicates Reyna was taken off at 61 min.

Is Reyna the only good player there? Will Claudio be enjoying the sights of the 1st Division next year?

Well, at least he'll be able to completely devote himself to helping his club get promoted back into the EPL, without having to worry about Mens National Team duty.

Atleast he did not get injured.
The ship at Sunderland is taking on water very quickly. A rough start to the season for them could mean an unexpected vacation for Peter Reid.

Pre-season, means nothing.
If they lose in the league games, then it's time to worry.

REYNA TO MISS SPAIN TRIP
Claudio Reyna is nursing a slight groin strain and will not travel to Spain as Sunderland prepare for their final two pre-season games.
But there is no danger of the American midfielder missing the Black Cats' Premiership opener against Blackburn Rovers in 10 days...

I should get a yellow card for typing something so stupid. I should know better.
