I really think that this is a must win and hopefully a break-out game by Dema.

It's never to early to talk about Dallas.

Is there a cover at Peg Leg Sullivans? Is it a bar, or do they serve food? Minors welcome?

since I don't know the answers to your questions...I'm guessing you'll be out of luck on the age thing though.

Plese correct me if I'm wrong.

And now, on to the game.
I don't think the Fire have entered a game with this much rest since the preseason, while the Burn are coming off a midweek Open Cup match that went to overtime and a three-game winless streak in MLS. For the most part, this is a team the Fire are still very familiar with, although Mike Jeffries seems to shuffle his lineup quite a bit. They've got a lot of depth at midfield (Pareja, Vaca, Martinez, O'Brien) and at forward (Kreis, Rhine, Cerritos, Johnson), so our heavily defensive alignment may come in handy this time. I'm not concerned about our backline for the bulk of the game, but as the heat becomes more of a factor, and Dallas is able to bring in fresh legs, it could become an issue.
Offensively, it's a bit of a crapshoot. Both our frontrunners and Dallas' defense (see the 4-0 thrashing at the hands of San Jose a couple of weeks ago) seem inconsistent, so who shows up will have a huge effect on how our side of the scoreline goes.
Projected lineup, same as the last couple of matches:
G Thornton
D Brown Curtin Bocanegra Perez
M Kovalenko Marsch Walsh Beasley
F Razov Wolff
This is our game in hand against the Metrostars, so we have to win. I'm predicting that (a) Bob imagines he's coaching against Octavio, and steps things up a notch, and (b) our offense actually decides to play.
3-1 Fire, goals from Wolff, Kovalenko (finally!), and either Marsch (on a rebound) or Curtin (who keeps coming *so* close on set plays). Kreis for Dallas, I'm thinking a PK. We yield on the scoreless streak, but win the war.
Later,
COZ

The good news for us is that we've had a full 10-days off except for those who played in the allstar match.
Dallas played last night so they will not be as rested.
Reminder to the city dwellers and those who will be in the neighborhood:

How minor? Over 18 but under 21 fine as long as you don't ask for an alcoholic beverage. They are not as strict as they are at Features. The kitchen will be open. Food is good. From small pizzas (not the freezer kind) to fish-n-chips to burgers to deep fried black olives (mmm). Please stop by.
See you Saturday. :D

What are the Brimstone Cup standings?
They may be in the other conference, but the rivalry runs deep. Let's hope the Fire kicks butt and retains the Cup.
