Armando Benitez in usual fashion gave up the tying run and the Mets eventaully lost the game. Then they get shelled 9-2 in the second of the doubleheader. God dammit. The Braves make the Mets their bitches year after year and I will shut up for the rest of the season. F*in Benitez. . . .

The Braves are September's Team until they prove otherwise. Ten straight division titles and only one World Championship puts them this close to being the Buffalo Bills of baseball. I want 'em to win, but I won't hold my breath.

I look at it this way. Since 1995 the Braves have one World title while the Yankees have four, including two off the Bravos in '96 and '99.

I've made this observation, the female Yankee fans while hot, know absolutely nothing about baseball. They just jump on the bandwagon. The female Mets fans while ugly, know about the game. Which is worse, which is better? Ahh, I dream of the day I run into a hot Mets fan who knows what she's talkin about.

As for southern chicks, I was down in Atlanta one time and man are they fine.

Braves fans shuld pray Smoltz's arm doesn't fall off.
40 saves at this point is damn impressive but he's had arm trouble in the past.

I dunno, the guy doesn't need to go all nine anymore. I find it amazing how he throws 98 consistently even after his arm problems.
