What TV channel do you use to watch football (soccer) games in USA. I have comcast basic cable TV, but I don't have any football channels. Is Fox soccer channel good? Please, tell me other good football channels and how can I have them. Thanks

I don't know specifically about Comcast. Where I live I pay to get Fox Soccer Channel (I watch bits and pieces of English Premier League games) and I could get Gol TV if I paid more money. There's also Setanta. You probably also get some football/soccer at least occasionally on the Spanish channels.

FSC and setanta split the epl with each getting half the games. fsc gets the prime slot on sunday and weekdays and setanta gets first choice on saturday. fsc also has some good shows like fox football fone in, which is essentially a talk show. dont know much about setanta. fsc shows other leagues like seria a but only once a week and they are not usually good games.
espn shows champions league, but im sure you already knew that

I have comcast and I pay 5-6$ extra a month and I get both FSC(EPL, Argentine League, some internationals, some US soccer, some Serie A) and Gol TV(La liga, serie A, honduran and columbian league, bundesliga). For setanta you have to have a satellite dish and pay like $15 extra a month.

Comcast has FSC and the occasional game on ESPN/ESPN2, plus local MLS matches, mexican league, etc.
Setanta is only on DirectTV or DishNetwork (can't remember which).

I don't have comcast digital TV. I have only basic without reciever. Comcast has FSC only in digital package

there are several soccer channels but most are only offered either through Direct Tv or Dish Network.
TyC Argentina League 24/7
Fox Sports Espanol - south american competitions
Espn 2
Setanta sports (direct tv) - great for Uefa cup and champions league
Gol Tv
and there is this new brasilian channel on dish network.
go to www.soccertv.com to see more channels

I don't care about South American Leagues. I care only about the best European Leagues (English, German, Italian and Spanish) and of course Champions League (I can watch it even now - ESPN2)

Then your best option is getting FSC and Setannta Sports, switch to the dish
Setannta tends to show more Champions league games then ESPN2 who only show like 2 a week, while Setannta shows most of the games.

you'll have to get the digital reciever if you want FSC and Gol TV. I did it and it was worth it to me.
If a game is on setenta instead of FSC then I go to a pub to watch it or I look for a stream. It's been quite sometime since I've missed a game that I really wanted to see and as far as that goes I watch a hell of alot of soccer that I care absolutely nothing about!!
I perfer to stick with comcast rather than switch to the dish becuase I get my internet service through them.

Remember, not ALL CL matches are shown on ESPN2. Some also appear only on ESPN Deportes where you have to subscribe in order to receive the feed.
I was in DC for the last Chelsea vs Barca match that aired only on Deportes and thought I could catch it at the ESPN Zone. But even they didn't have it! They said something about not having the code to receive the feed.

Is there anyway to get soccer games in HD other than the occasional ESPN broadcast? I see SkyTV advertising in my area but am unsure.
I already have Fox Soccer Channel in regular format.
For you folks living in Europe, what TV providers televise the games in HD?
