second, I'm pretty sure that Timmy's saying the U.S. is the best SOCCER national. Some other nation may be the best FOOTBALL nation. Correct me if I'm wrong, Timmy.

Your right Usa did beat Portugal 3-2. but that doesnt mean there better. Usa lost to Poland 3-1 but the Usa are better then poland. Portugal is better then the USA, but the USA are creeping up on the top teams in the world. and yes the USA is probely the best team in Concacaf!!!!

Ireland
Japan
I think that's it... and the USA was the only soccer nation in the World Cup quarterfinals. (The other quarterfinalists were all football nations.)

Ok ok you guys are obviously thinking about the Rivaldo incident but that doesn't stop Brazil to produce the best players in the world.

well, for S.Korea's case, "football" is used just as much if not more than "soccer." Just search the Korean football websites or even just regular sports websites. It'll say "football" in english a lot of times.
But the biggest reason why Korea is not a "soccer" nation: We call it "Chuk Gu."
