These myths must be dispelled.

1. I have never worn an Aran sweater.

2, I do have a beard...well really its one of those 10 day shadow things. I keep it cut to the same length as the little hair that I have left.

3, Adnams? I prefer Greene King, but I'd settle for Adnams instead of the Norwegian Pilsner.

4, I play a guitar. 6 or 12 string and a mandolin. Oh, also been known to play a mean Kazoo and a harp.(blues harp, that is)

5, It's true that I prefer a mug to a glass, but this is mainly because I have less chance of spilling any.

6. I hate being put into pigeon hole as a folk singer. Like a lot of people, I started in folk clubs, but have played in bands with the likes of Jack Bruce and Jerry Donague. Hardly your normal finger in the ear stuff. Anyway, It's all music. Some good, some bad. Jack Bruce thinks I'm bad, but a nice bloke, so he let me play along.:D

No, we were Mothers Ruin. A folk, blues rock band. Amazing fiddle player that could do back flips whilst playing. :p

No it wasn't Dave. It was Ian Sanderson. Better than Mr S I think. We did once play with Dave Swarbrick's brother. He's good too. None were better than Ian though.
The guy was lead violinist in the British and European youth orchestras, but didn't want to be a full time musician. He is now in politics. Something to do with the Tory party's selection thingy.

For my views on pogonophobia please refer to Bill Bailey's 'Part Troll'.
