Figure its best to discuss today's friendlies in a separate thread. I haven't had the time to see who of our players is involved, but I'm sure someone can post that.

England (vs Spain): Foster, Neville, Rio, Carrick
Spain (v England): Interesting to note that Pique is not on the anticipated Spanish lineup. (According to someone on the Spain forum, he was slated to play with the U-21s but developed the flu shortly before the game).
France (v. Argentina): Evra. No Saha. (I thought no Silvestre went without saying)
Argentina (v. France): Heinze
I don't know if Ole will be playing for Norway.

Shot in the dark, but does anyone have a working Tunisia/Morocco stream? (As if there's actually anyone on the boards today. :) )

I can only catch the first half of the England game, then it's off to class, gawd demmit!
England have a bizarre lineup with Gerrard and Carrick in CM, and Crouch and Dyer upfront.

They are playing a 4-3-3 with Dyer and SWP flanking Crouch, and Carrick holding behind Gerrard and Lampard.

Any chance Gerrard and Lampard are attending to their defensive duties?

If you're planning on watching the Eng-Spain game later, definitely skip the first half. Incredibly boring. I've been trying to answer VR's question for the past 10 minutes, and I can't even keep watching without my eyes glazing over. I think the problem is that none of the players seem to give a remote sh!t about the game.

Carrick has done OK for England. He's made some good interceptions in the box and some good passes. He was caught a couple of times in possession as well though. Lampard is out of position on the left. Gerrard has played really well.
SWP has been atrocious. Chelsea have ruined him as a player. Crouch missed Englands best chance. Their only other chance was a good shot by Carrick.
Morientes missed a great chance for Spain.
Foster has had little to do, Rio and Woodgate have done well.

El Nino is on, let's see how he does for Spain. Is this the start of something special for him at Old Trafford? :D
In other news, Woodgate looks really good today. Definitely a boon to England's defense. :p
Whoever designed that England shirt should be tried for crimes against humanity. That is some ugly shit.

Carrick is creating some good chances for England with his passing. He's looked England's most threatening player for me.

Iniesta scores for Spain. 0-1 Keeper had no chance.

Phil Neville at fault for that IMO, completely caught out of position, vacated the entire right side to Iniesta and gave Iniesta all the time in the world to settle the ball and smack that shot in.
Richards on for Gary.
Carragher on for Woody.
