During the Tottenham match, when both Rooney and Ronaldo were on the bench, I witnessed one of the most beautiful sights ever as a United fan. As the camera switched to the bench, you saw Sir Alex, like a father, turn around smiling and say something to both Ronaldo and Rooney, who in turn look at each other and laugh. For those few seconds, they looked like a happy family, Rooney, Ronaldo and Sir Alex all smiling like 2 sons and their father would smile. I mean as militant as I am I felt all warm and fuzzy inside, seriously.

I'd do anything for a picture of that.

Sorry, but that made me chuckle because I don't know if you're being 100% serious. :D

Dude, I'm dead serious. If you didn't know before, after that moment you knew how close the squad is now, seriously. I feel sorry for our opposition in the prem for the rest of this season.

I thought Ronaldo looked pissed on the bench.

personally, the best non-footballing moment of the match was when ronnie went off, applauded the crowd, and gestured his arms in an upwards fashion, so as to say "more, more!!", that one segment showed that ronnie is happy here...

Nope, but I am lacking a hug from you.

I think I remember that moment, but I don't remember Ronaldo laughing. He seemed very serious after the substitution. Didn't smile during the handshake off the pitch, nor when O'Shay-Given made his brilliant save.

EDIT: I'm rewatching the 2nd half just for the helluv it, so if I see the moment I'll screen cap it and put it here. If you have a general estimate of when it happened that would help, but both Rooney and Ronaldo were on the bench starting at minute ~62, so it's not much to watch anyways.

Here's the best I could do.

Fergie talking to the 2

Their Reaction

To be honest, I watched the thing, and Ronaldo didn't seem amused, he was bemused. Nice moment none the less. I've read numerous articles saying that Fergie is a loudmouth joker amongst his players. The actual event is from 32:36 to 32:50 on the 2nd file of the capped game.

The pictures ruined it for me. The way Invincible described it had me imagine a fairytale picture, but the real thing wasn't nearly as cute.

Good find nonetheless ;D

Haha, I felt the same way. When I actually saw it...eh.

Ronaldo probably didn't understand a word of what Fergie said to him. :D

Kinda random, but one of my favorite "beautiful moments" is at the end of the 1999 CL Final, after the trophy presentation. The team all walked towards the United fans, and made them quiet. Then each member of the team took the CL trophy, lifted it, and the crowd roared one by one. Dwight Yorke did a little dance with it, Andy Cole had a little fun with it, and Keano and Scholes both held it at the very end. NIce moment.

Your right. Ronaldo has been trying to learn English not Scottish. :)
