OK, he's scored a lot of goals and he's been a fixture on the national team for a long time. He scored twice in this world cup and once in the last one-the only american to score. His defense in the forward position was one of the reasons that the U.S. did so well and he was almost singlehandedly responsible for the Portugal win. Since the WC, he has been lighting up the MLS.
But besides all that, what has he done?

Yeah, uh flanoverseas you just mentioned a lot of stuff that some of the world class strikers at the World Cup didn't do. You're just making yourself look like an idiot. shut up

Well, he did score 1 goal in 15 games last season for the Crew.
Pretty impressive!

I sure hope you've never had a bad time in your life, pal.
Because when I find out about it, I'll be sure to repeat it non-stop on these boards.

The only thing good about McBride is his wife

I've said it once, and I'll say it again: Without McBride and Cobi Jones (another much-maligned Nat), we draw 0-0 against Guatemala in October 2000, and never even qualify for the hex.

Flan, you have only yourself to blame for this sad spectacle. But somewhere a tear is rolling down the face of a native american in full gear.

Everybody is going to have a chance to see her:
McBride is still reaping the (non-monetary) benefits of his World Cup performance. He and his wife, Dina, remained in New York yesterday for a photo shoot for the 2003 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue in February.

ok Guys, I din't think there were that many stupid people on BS, and this wasn't even an original post. I was just bored. So here's a little clue. It's going to be fast:
I was joking.

Three words: Life is good! I can't wait to see this issue, and it will be that much better if Brian is conveniently sidetracked by a separate NY Times photo shoot at the same time so that his wife can be featured more prominently.
As a side note, I guess Pablo blew has chance for any future photo shoots, huh?
