There is nothing official about it, but there are rumors that Brazil is willing to use Copa America as a preparation for the Olympic Games. Therefore, only the players under 23 would play.
I think it's a quality side anyway and I would support this decision, because the Gold Medal is the only title that Brazil never achieved.

This is excellent news, if the goal is to make the Copa America an irrelevant tournament.

Well, Brazil won the last one with a B team. It didn't make the tournament any worse.

i dont want to be a hater... but I hate i hate haha.. yea ... but ur b-team has like ANDRIANO !!! which isnt fair !!! haha

yea i would prefer that brasil and argentina field top teams or at least a mix of a olympic and full qualifier squad so that Copa america wont be a joke and more like Euro Cup... like I would hate it if Mexico who is basically the country who takes it the most serious wins it.. because everyone else was just goofing off..

and hope colombia finally finds a striker :( so that we can do well:D

Certainly good enough to compete against certain teams, but this squad didn't show much in the Sudamericano. I wouldn't expect them to win anything anyways.

You mean the championship we just won?
Don't worry. The best players of that team will most likely be bench players for the Olympics.

The only ones who played well were Alexandre Pato, Lucas and the goalie (forgot his name).

We will have Anderson from Porto, Diego from Werder Bremen, Jo from CSKA, Marcelo from Real Madrid, Denilson from Arsenal and others...

If I recall isn't that were Mexico beat Argentinas supposably B team with a 1 - 0 goal from a free-kick from Romancito Morales I belive and Argentina fielding D'Alessando,Gonzalez,Saviola,Heinze, that one dude with the bushy eye-brows from Hamburg oh and Tevez also Luciano figueroa I think so far thats an A team. Brazil was understandable they had a combination of A and B and any team Brazil fields is good

I dont think D'Alessando made the WC squad, dont know about Figueroa. That dude you are talking about i beleive is sorin. Either way those two countries have so much talent and depth they will still be the favorites even with their "B" team.

I am one of those people that believes that no National Team should be called an A, B, C team, etc. Come on guys only European teams actually do that (speacially England) to come up with an excuse for doing bad in a game/tournament. Also, I don't think that calling any Brazil or Argentina team B or C is correct since they easily have more than 3 players that can cover the same position. Plus Brazil didn't really field a "B" team since a number of those players actually went to the WC.
I think that this tradition of bringing in supposedly lower category NT's to the Copa America will eventually lower the prestige of this tournament. But I can understand if Brasil want to gain experience for their Olimpic Team though.
