I've always had a certain fondness for Serie A, especially for Inter and AC Milan. My question to you is which is the better club and why?

You can decide for yourself who you support but I'd suggest you only support ONE Milan club.

INter. They have the best forward duo in the world, a great defence and solid midfield, plus the best goalie in Italy..

Better is a matter of judgement, but Milan are certainly a "bigger" club than Inter by any measurable variable from trophies won to crowd size.

in different leagues... ;)

FYI,Inter has the second largest following among italian clubs,A.C.Milan is third; not coincidentally the Juventus - Inter has been dubbed as the "Italy derby"

who do you think came out best in the Seedorf/Coco deal?

IMO Milan and Inter both came out good on that deal. Coco is a good player and I wish things were different and he stayed with Milan but Coco didn't want to play for Milan anymore so what were they supposed to do. Getting Seedorf is a good move because he is still farely young and we needed someone besides Contra who could attack on the right wing. We will see who came out better when the season starts.

Milan has definitely had the best of it in the last decade or so, hauling in a bunch of trophies while Inter "only" won a UEFA Cup, I think in '97. But Inter maybe has more long-term tradition among Italians, they along with Juventus, are the only teams who've never been relegated from Serie A.

OK, now this is gonna sound like total bullshi*, but Inter fans (I'm not talking about the Ultras, they're just a tiny minority anyway) tend to be withdrawn and analytical, while Milan fans are more exuberant. I might get blasted for that ,but those are my impressions.

Inter have actually won the UEFA Cup three times in the 90's

Inter filled a decade-long hole at the position; A.C.Milan added another nice player to its overcrowded midfield

what do you think?

No, we'll see when we have the result of the derbies!!! ;)

Ohh and not to nitpick bestia, but a derby it's an INTRAcity game (on a literal sense of course, cuz I already heard about the 'spanish derby' Barça-madrid!)

PS: Inter!
