Question:- was Saha fit to play 90 min today, ??
If the answer was yes, i have to say he is very unlucky, for 3 or 4 years Saha had to play second fiddle to RVN, I would hate to think that Fergie has made the decision to play Larsson ahead of Saha.
In my opinion  Saha brought our forward line together in the first part of the season, his target man playing and his goals in the Champions league and the premiership, have been fantastic, remember the Goal he scored against Chelsea.
Saha is number one in my Opinion
Yes we won 4 - 0 today, but surley you have to be loyal to Saha at some point in his time at Manchester United
He has a wonderfull style to his play and he is one of the faster players in the league, his pass to R Giggs was superb today.
On another subject, we have found Ohhh Shea's best position at long last:D in Goal LOL ( did you see Rooney laughing when Rio nearly cost Utd a goal and Ohhh' Shea made a great saving tackle, that was funny)

I think the fact that Saha has been out for a few weeks meant that he needed to be eased back into the side. Larsson's been in decent form and his partnership with Rooney is quite effective, so he was given the nod ahead of Saha.
Having said that, Larsson and Saha will probably be rotated. Rooney's suspended for our next game, so Saha will get to start. But from then on I wouldn't be surprised to see Saha start some games, and Larsson start others.

Wow, I actually find myself agreeing, (to a point) with a post from the Neavester, is there any medication for that? :D

The Arsenal game was the one I couldn't understand him being left out of the starting line-up for. He was fit enough to be on the bench against Aston Villa and in doing so kept Ole the super-sub off it. 7 days later, with even more time to recover he's on the bench again for a big match.

He then suffered another minor setback which is why he was left out against Pompey and Watford. Today I can understand it on the grounds that he wasn't match fit as he now hasn't played for a good while.

Still, was gutted for him for the Arsenal game.

I agree about the Arsenal game - I felt we were really missing his pace and strength up front. IMO he's better at holding up the ball than Larsson is. But maybe he wasn't 100% fit, which was why Fergie decided to start with Larsson instead.

saha isnt 100, until he is, it's larsson. once he is, then we have a decision to make.

If Larsson is gone in March, we might as well try to use him to the fullest, especially if Saha is not 100%.

Between Larrson and Saha, I would give Saha the nod when we are matched up against quick strong central defenders (like Sol). I would have liked to have seen Saha start against Arsenal too, with Larrson coming off the bench (which I think he does better than Saha).

we got 3 starters in forward who are all capable.
larsson insists that hes goin going in march, so u might as well use him and keep saha fresh. so rotate the, but have saha less.

also i want to see dong on the bench. especially for games like this when the game is already done.

Saha isn't fit to clean Larsson's boots; funny how a bit of competition shows up and Mr. Glass reverts to true form...

;)

Bit of truth in that diatribe but I look forward to Saha getting back into form..

I don't think even Fergie anticipated we'd come away with a 4-0 victory. I don't see Dong making the bench this season unless - touch wood - there's injuries to our first-choice strikers.

Exactly...

I also love all the "loyalty" to Saha bollocks. If we can drop Ruud when in form we can certainly fail to start an injured Saha over Larsson for supposedly the same reason we dropped Ruud. "The team plays better w/ Larsson."

I really think we've got to credit Larsson with helping Rooney return to form and getting him back to concentrating on football rather than scoring and as a result releaving some of the pressure.

By the by, we already had a thread on this topic called "Striking the right balance!"

If both are healthy, Saha.
