The thread title says it all. Should I make a serious run for the post of US National Team coach in the next elections? I've been playing HT since season 19, and I feel I have a decent grasp of the game and the stuff that's involved with it, so I'm considering the run.
Should I do it?
Would I have your vote? If not, why not?
Discuss here.

You certainly have time for it.

Sure you should do it. You have nothing to lose, IMO. All that can happen is you don't win the election.
I can't tell you whether I would vote for you or not until I see who else is running and what type of platform all the candidates will have at election time. Sorry, but I don't believe in just voting for someone because I know them from another Internet forum. Impress me with your campaign and I will strongly consider it. I take my right to vote seriously, irregardless of if it is a game or not.
A big thing that I really liked about TR's term was his attempt, and success with, getting more of the US community involved in and discussing the NT. Irregardless of the fact that he wasn't too successful on the field, he did create a stir among the community by posting regularly on the US conference about the team and upcoming matches.
With our admitted lack of an abundance of "Mutant" Divine players compared to the other bigger countries, TR's ability to involve more active users with his promotion of Multi-skilled players will be a big deciding factor in who wins the next election. I think this is the way that we should be moving with the NT, because in the end, I think the HT's will eventually have to do something to rid the Mutants from the game.

In Canada, our past coaches have mostly all been Division 1 managers, but it doesnt look like the US follows that same trend, what with a 3rd Division guy in charge right now, so you got that going for you.
If you want to do something like this, whether or not you win the first election is kind of like the icing on the cake, Id say its more about getting your name out there. That way if it doesnt work out, you got more people who know about you the next time the National or Under 20 elections go down.
It would be good for us, make things more interesting around here for sure...

You have time and that is a big thing. You also have experience. I think you should run and you would be at the top of my list as far as who I will vote for.

Go for it, like Kermmy said the only thing that can happen is you don't win.

The elections are rigged. I always vote for myself but my name never comes up after the elections, even though it shows other people who only got 1 vote. :(
So I'm going to give up that campaign and I'll probably vote for Kuhnscoot this time, but just be warned - I don't think they count my vote anyways.
