im wondering is the talents of some footballers who dont have unbeliveable skills overated, like can some players get lucky and become pro, like all i have ever wanted was to be a footballer, but im not getting any younger, im hoping that il be a late bloomer or something.

Ball skills are just a part of it. Health, fitness, tactical speed (not only skills and quickness, but vision and decision-making also play a part in this), attitude, and athletic ability are probably all equally important. Read Mia Hamm's book. It shows how much dedication it takes to be a world class player. And there isn't even a women's professional league anymore. Men have it better with two professional leagues in this country. There are millions of soccer players in the USA and only a relatively few professional opportunities for players. Even if you don't ever star in the MLS, you can still enjoy the world's greatest game at whatever level you can achieve. There are many, many adult teams of all levels.

Have you seen the standard? Im going for Trials next season at Victory and i think im in with a shot, and im far from the best player. But i know i have better skills then alot of the players there, and more importantly i can offer them something.
