I watched the highlight of the recent Villa - Newcastle match which Villa lost 3:1.

To be fair they were undone by two stunners and were chasing the game from there. The new signings of Young and Carew played well and looked to have slotted in comfortably.

I've always rated Carew and he has certainly not fulfilled his early promise.

Expect a tough game. Martin O'Niell is a shrewd manager and a great motivator. they have added quality and skill to a comitment which would make us blush.

I have been poorly sick this week and may not make the game.

But either way a win at Villa would be a brilliant boost.

I still don't understand why Yossi is played on the wing and not in the middle behind the two strikers.......everyone gets that spot, Quashie, RC, Masher, Boa, even Harewood at one point but not Yossi,,,,,what's going on, play the fker in the middle and let him run at the opponents.

Why is tevez not playing is it because of injury or because Masher is gone and he is looking to leave too.
