Hey guys
I'm new to the forum and from Europe .....I had to come and find out what the Galaxy fans really think of Beckhams signing ?
You're probably all sick of talking about it at this stage and for this i apologise ...But i've got to ask
Have you fallen for all the hype around this very ordinary player ?
It's well recognised in Europe that Beckhams hype and fame (because of his looks and ability to manipulate the press) is much larger than his actual ability as a ball player ....he's crap basically (if you dont think so ...watch the last world cup) .He's lazy and selfish as a player and has got one good point ...a good dead ball kicker ..harldly enough to help out a tem for 90 minutes every game ?.
As for her ...dont even get me started,she's achieved her goal in life..to be a Hollywood celebrity.....(sad but true)...anyway guys enough of me i'd like your opinions......Now Paul Scholes that would be a proper signing.

I think most real fans realize that Beckham has seen better days (and those weren't anything spectacular). The casual fan thinks that he'll be the savior of American Soccer. Personally, I'm not a Galaxy fan, but I do think that Beckham can help to improve some aspects. I think that he can help to add emphasis on improving dead ball striking (as you said), as there aren't too many highly capable of doing that in the MLS. Also I hope that he can bring in more fans (Real Madrid didn't try to resign him because he was the best benchwarmer).

Beckham to MLS is just what the league needed, a little hype, because it had LITTLE going for it before. I am all for MLS and Beckham and I pray more players become seriously interested in playing in MLS for the future.

but you need to promote some young good players to don't need to import star for ever.

I agree, but only with what you said about Victoria. As far as Beckham being crap I think that is just off by a long way. I think he gets more grief than he probably deserves because of envy. In his prime he was a very good player, and not just on free kicks. And the importance of a great free kick specialist cannot be understated, as he is good enough to score from a spot at the edge of the area better than most, not to mention he has always been a great crosser of the ball from the wings. Most of what you said about him is a big stretch, in my opinion.

Beckham is just what they need right now.

During retirement, Pele came and played soccer in America for two or three years.

With this, soccer became a bigger deal in Americans and set of a craze through the people.

Beckham is a good player and i should see more soccer highlights on ESPN now that he is here.
