Those stats don't count for me or Benni. 90% of our posts were calling each other names. :)

If I remember correctly, that is the international transfer window. But English clubs can transfer amongst one another as soon as the season is over. Although I have a tough time finding proof of that at the moment.

I think English clubs outside the Premier Division can keep doing transfer business after the window has closed.

The transfers can happen starting in April, no? Didn't we sign Ruud in April?
Ballack joined Chelsea last season in May IIRC.

IIRC deals can be struck before the window, but the official paperwork and registration can only be completed once it opens e.g. Larsson.

Question what how do the stats work, for example it seems that I have '2' what does that mean.

It's the number of posts you make in the transfer threads.

I think English clubs outside the Premier Division can keep doing transfer business after the window has closed.

That's just how it is. Since the window is in place to "protect" the smaller clubs against the big bad ones who want to buy their players as soon as they get an injury in the squad.

So I guess that they didn't see the point in "punishing" the small clubs. I am not sure if they can make outright transfers, but they can loan players for a 3 month period.

they should scrap the January transfer window, it's just pointless, maybe extend the summer window by a few more weeks instead?

I think we absolutely should NOT get Hargreaves whatever it is we do.

Why? If a team did pick a string of serious injuries, they would most likely be best in a position to replace them in january opposed to right at the begining of the season.

So who are Man United linked to, besides Torres and Hargreaves (which should frankly be stricken from the record, for various reasons)? Do they have back up plans for a strong D-mid or scouting around for another young striker?
