I feel that Real Madrid is making a mistake by selling Ronaldo to AC Milan. There goes one of there few strikers. Personally, I think he can bring a team together even if some think he's past his prime. What do you guys think about Real's decision?

His form has been poor for over 2 years. He needs a change of scenery and Real Madrid needs to move which is standard situation for a divorce.

He can't bring a team together he does the exact opposite. His lazy and arrogant attitude rubs off on the players around him and he helped to create the mess Real Madrid have been in for the past 3 years.

It is indeed a mistake, he should go to a club like Al-Ittihad instead, or to Qatar. I wouldn't much care to see him in MLS, and his game is not up to par with Serie A.

If you still get 7.5 million € for a player that doesnt perform anymore (for the times he's not injured) than IMO its sure not a mistake to sell him for that huge amount...

Huge mistake in my opinion.
I mean, who else is going to stretch those medium sized jerseys for the rest of the team?

It is said that the facts speaks for themselves:
When Eto'o won Spanish league topscorer and tied for the european golden boot with Henry.....he scored in 59% of the games he played in.
This is the % of games Ronie has scored in for RM in la liga.
2002-2003......scored in 16 of the 31 games he played........52%
2003-2004......scored in 19 of the 32 games he played........59%
2004-2005......scored in 19 of the 34 games he played........56%
2005-2006......scored in 12 of the 23 games he played........52%
Now compare those to Di Stefano and Puskás's best season in la liga for RM....scoring wise that is.
1956/57 Alfredo Di Stéfano (ESP) Real Madrid 31 goals 30 games
He scored in 15 of those 30 games.......0.50% effectiveness
1960/61 Ferenc Puskás (ESP) Real Madrid 28 goals 28 games
He scored in 16 of those 28 games.......0.57% effectiveness
Still not impress well check this one out.....Many people considers Henry to be the best striker around, so lets compare Ronie's to Henry's.....for example the last 3 seasons.
Henry:
2002-2003......scored in 20 of the 37 games he played........54%
2003-2004......scored in 20 of the 37 games he played........54%
2004-2005......scored in 16 of the 32 games he played........50%
2005-2006......scored in 16 of the 32 games he played........50%
Well so much for Ronaldo being an inconsisitent has-been.....
Since Ronie join RM:
Ronie @ RM ........18 assists***82 goals***120 games
Sheva @ Milan.....16 assists***65 goals***112 games
Ruud @ MU.........8 assists***72 goals***117 games
Henry @ Ars.......50 assists***106 goals***138 games
And look at that just as many games as the other big guns.
And look again only Sheva out of those three has really done better than Ronie in the latter parts of the CL.
Ruud[47/53].......2 goals in 2 CL [quarters/semis/final] games......
Sheva[44/82].....7 goals in 15 CL [quarters/semis/final] games......
Henry[42/76]......1 goals in 6 CL [quarters/semis/final] games.......
Ronie[16/38].......5 goals in 6 CL [quarters/semis/final] games......
Team titles [worth mentioning] in that time:
Ronie @ RM ........1 league title and Intercontinental cup
Sheva @ Milan.....1 league title and 1 CL title
Ruud @ MU.........1 league title
Henry @ Ars.......1 league title
Damn what a worthless bum, i mean everybody else has been so much better than him
Ronie, thanks for the memories.....you did alright.....especially considering what ya had to work with.

It was a good decision for both parties. Madrid get rid of a striker past his best who would no doubt still be commanding top wages, and they can replace him with someone more up and coming.
Ronaldo also gets to leave the circus of Real with its politics and ungrateful fans.

Deal works out for all teams
I think it was a good move

It was a good move for everyone involved. Although RM could still use Ronaldo since nobody can score a goal in the team besides RVN (and even he is struggling), they really needed a new younger direction with the team. The relationship between RM and Ronaldo was also "tired".
