Really I canīt decide who I like more. They are both brilliant.

Soon Zarate will be one of the best strikers in Europe

You can't compare them, they play in completely different positions.

If I had to pick one to join my team, I would pick Mauro Zarate.. He's amazing, one of Argentina's best fowards at the moment (and I don't mean just in the Argentine league).

Anyway, like I said, you can't compare man..

I know, I just said who I liked the most. I cant tell yet. I just know that they with Messi are head and shoulders above all the other young players.

In the Arg. league I like Beluki, Palacio and Ustari but they are not on the same level

I like Gago very much, but Zarate is capable of quite amazing things...Look at his goal against Belgrano...(unfortunately he scored against my team :().

Actually his name is Belluschi (not Beluki), and you are crazy to say he is not at their level. He is still very young, and in my opinion is the best player in the Argentine league. The guy has a tremendous future, and will be very important for the NT. If you don't think he's on the same level, then you obviously haven't seen much of him.

I love Zarate, even more so because he's from my team but you can't say that Palacio isn't on the same level. I believe Palacio to be on the same or higher level than Zarate. Palacio is blazing fast, not because he can outrun you but because his mental game is that much faster than his opponents.

I'm sorry but Belluschi is NOT on the same level as Zarate. While Belluschi is a great player he's not the type of player to raise to the height of the challenege.

Although I really like Palacio I donīt think he is world class. Zarate is.

Beluki is really good as well and I think he will play alongside Gago in 2010 but Gago is a couple of steps above him because he has superior passing ability and vision.

P.S. I have seen Beluki about 20 times live on the tele this season and a couple of times in the stadium including River - Boca.

I can see why you would think that. But I think that Palacio and Zarate are two different type of forwards. Which in turn means that they must play alongside an equally different type of forward for them to compliment each other. Palacio is more of a strong crosser that looks to enter thru on the wings. Zarate is more a dribbler who prefers the one on one instead of the one touch pass.
I believe that they are both world class in their skills and abilities.

I am talking just about ability and talent.

I think in 20 years from now Zarate will named alongside Batigol and Kempes and Palacio alongside Cruz, Saviola, Crespo

I think Zarate will turn out slightly better

I know exactly what you mean. I just see Palacio as a Caniggia.

Style of play or what he did?

I see him score 10-15 goals a season in Spain or Italy but I donīt think he really will be great. But I can be wrong. He actually has anything you can want in a striker, I am just not sold on him

Palacio as a forward isn't a striker as you say. He's not the guy who is giong to get all the goals in. He's going to be like Caniggia who plays alongside a striker to give him the ball. Break free and pass, send the cross, break out up thru the wing etc etc.

I would like to see him play with Sladan at Inter. Cruz should be a good a partner as well. Crespo-Palacio I am not sold about

Crespo-Palacio would be amazing. Great crosser with an amazing header/one touch striker!

I don't think it's fair to say Mauro is world class and Palacio isn't. Hell I'm not sure it's fair to say either are world class yet. If you want to nit pick, Palacio has a WC appearance (for what thats worth), dominated the Argentine League and has had his named mentioned in relation to major euro clubs. Zarate's resume' lacks in comparison. Again I'd say it's just not fair to put that label on either of them yet.

Belluschi as much as it pains me, is a silky smooth player that is the closest thing we have in Argentina to a true enganche. Don't spout Aimar, El Cabezon or Veron even. One can't get a call up, one is always injured and the other had his shot.

Comparing Zarate to Gago. Apples and oranges plain and simple. As a #5 Gago has more upside than Zarate does as a striker. Of course that's my humble two cents worth. Besides I was a holding mid myself so I'm partial.

The best part of this thread is that every player mentioned is damn good and most importantly Argentine.
