We've had fights in nearly every thread about people's morning show preference.
I think the dance card is
The Original (Howard Stern)
The Local Boys (Preston & Steve)
The Frequently Fired (Opie & Anthony)

I've heard Howard's back to being Howard after spending the last 3 years of his glorious career on free radio crying about the FCC. I'm happy for his devout fans. I tired of it all. I listened to Preston and Steve because Diamond Dave was just that bad. Fortunately, my old buddies from the afternoon drive are now on in the morning. I still miss the 6 o'clock queef though. :p

I'll listen to the 610 morning show only if they have an interesting interview on. Otherwise I listen to 990 or 1210 on my way to work...and yes, I'm a dork.

610 is the station for me, too, when I'm in range.
My girlfriend loves it :D

I used to be a HUGE Preston & Steve fan, but they just continued to spiral downward into becoming a show for 14 year old girls. I can't even stand to hear their voices anymore.
Now I listen to O&A every morning in the office. I have Sirius in my truck, but I may have listened to Howard all of 5 minutes.

Warning, not for the queasy. This is so vile that it got Pat kicked out of the Competitive Eaters Club that boasts members like the Black Widow and that hot dog guy Kobyashi. The video is a result of an egg nog contest being reversed.

I guess to each their own. I think they're hysterical...I think the same of Stern. Preston and Steve are hacks.

I'm not from Philly but I felt compelled to jopin in the conversation. I used to listen to Howard but we haven't had him on here in NEPA for over 5 years now, maybe more. Most morning DJ's suck. Rock 107 out of Scranton has the best morning team no one's ever heard of outside the area here, Daniels and Webster. They're very original, very funny, and as good as any morning show I've ever heard. Said that, now mostly I prefer talk rasio and to catch up on the news so I listen to Nancy and Kevin on WILK. Kevin Lynn is an old ex-sports guy and was actually a Sportscenter anchor on ESPN some time ago. They do a great job with some honest talk about national news and what's going on here at home. After I get to work at 9 I stream Air America all day. Sam Seder from 9 to 12 is hilarious and let's you know what's really going on ini this country. He's the guy behind that comedy central show "I'm with Busey." Then at noon it's Thom Hartman who's just great. His is a voice that every American needs to hear.

Wowee, that's an all-star lineup.

Steve is kind of funny so is Casey Boy. Preston and the chick i don't remember her name are terrible and bring absolutely nothing to the show. Overall the show is all bs and no substance. I worked in radio for 3 years and i could probably step in and do that show with a minimal effort, or at least most of their bits. The bizarro files? Thats a 10 minute bit that takes 5 minutes to prepare all you have to do is to do is go to fark.com and print everything from that day scan and read not brain surgery. Steves off the wall comments while everyone else is talking are the only funny thing, and casey boy forced to do degrading things. I wish Kid Chris was on in the morning. They may not be funny all the time, but you can at least tell that they put a hell of alot more effort into their show. Although knowing those guys they'd probably be pissed off they had to get up in the morning to do the show in the first place.

I agree Kidd Chris makes the afternoon commute very tolerable. The Thomas songs - especially the new one, Japalicious, are hilarious.

I'm quite fond of the "Fat Japhead," song. But the highlight of the show is anytime Ed McGonigal is doing crank calls.
