Yea, that looked like a pretty pathetic effort. i was only able to follow online, but the ball seemed to seldom move much past our goal line while in our possession. If we play like this against bloody Sheffield, I think the hopes of making top 10 will be supplanted by hopes of not getting closer to relegation zone.

Okay, game report finally!

I got a wild hair and decided to get a couple of tix and go see them at Bramall Lane. It's about an hour north of me so not such a bad trip really.

First of all, it's a great venue. The 28,000 announced pretty much filled the place but it seemed twice that as the tin roof overhead magnified everything and they were up for it, lots of song etc. In fact, much more boisterous than anything you'd hear around fulham chiswick way.

That was the good part. Fulham sleepwalked through this match. The back line in particular was atrocious and Quedrue never showed up to play. Both goals came from United hustling to the ball and wanting it more than fulham. The second I watched unbelievingly as Quedrue walked while the throw in went right by him and United ran on to it - the man he was marking ran and he walked! Unbelievable - I even had to hold my tongue and then cheer the goal as I was in a rough United section.

Mcbride was okay but not really much to work with as there really wasn't much of base to build from as there didn't seem to be a holding MF on the pitch. Brown played well and gave effort and that's about it. Zat Night was poor. Montella looked bright in terms of being a useful outlet but then was errant in his passing - he came off after the second goal though and that was the end of Fulham threats.

Finally the man I came to see got on the pitch in the last few minutes - brace yourselves - GLOVELESS. He got about 10mins but didn't do much, looked a little like he was waiting to receive the ball so he could do his patented step overs but by this time it was an aerial battle and he didn't seem really equipped for it.

Total and complete domination by Sheffield and they could have (should have) had a couple more.

All in all a poor showing by Fulham but it was a good night out and I'd travel again to Bramall Lane.

BTW, Sheffield have got a real cracker of a little redhead named Quinn who is 16 years old. Remember that name, he's good, he's fast and he's full of endeavor.
