One girl I dated insisted upon Jean-Luc Ponty, Individual Choice. Fusion violin over live bass and drums and Tangerine Dream style keyboards.
In contrast, the best drunken sex I had was to Rob Zombie, Hellbilly Deluxe.

I always thought it would be really funny to make a sex CD, and have it playing when you're getting it on, but then randomly throw in the middle of it Barney singing the romantic classic "I love you, you love me...." The look on the girls face when that played would be priceless. It might throw her out of the mood, and she might kick you out, but that would be a memory to last a lifetime.:D
I did something somewhat similar, although by accident. When first dating my fiance, we were gettin' it on in the dorms, to a Winamp playlist i had made for just such an occasion. Unfortunatly, I had accidently left "Rednecks,White Socks, and Blue Ribbon Beer" at the begining of the playlist. It was playing on random, and in the middle of it, that song came on. very funny.

Early Tricky (ie, "Maxinquaye" and a couple tracks off "Pre-Millenium Tension") and recent Massive Attack REALLY get it done for me. Angel? Mrowr.
Generally I'm so happy to be getting some, though, the soundtrack doesn't matter. :)
