May 1, 2003) — What do the Rochester Raging Rhinos have in common with the New York Yankees, Manchester United, Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Lakers?

According to Street & Smith’s SportsBusiness Journal’s fifth anniversary issue, they are the five “best-run sports franchises in the world.”

Recently, they've been playing both sides of the fence, suggesting that they would be enabled by the stadium to go up to MLS, but also suggesting that they might not be interested, since they would potentially be able to rake in the cash in the A-League with their own stadium.

Sounds like a bargaining position to me.

BTW: That was a complete throw away reference, this latest issue had something like four pages of little lists of the best and worst 5 of all sorts of things, and this was buried in the mess of the rest of them.
