Will it be the same lottery type system that was used for the WC tickets?

The only thing I don't understand is if you apply for tickets, we don't know who's in what group yet. So if I want to go see an Italy game, how do I know I'm going to see an Italy game?

It looks like the original German language slogan, which reads "Erlebe Emotionen" somehow doesn't match the English slogan offered? Shouldn't the English translation be "Experience Emotions?", not "Expect Emotions?".

As I understand it, the selection process for who will be able to officially purchase tickets begins on March 1st.
In other words, first they select who will be able to buy tickets, then when the match schedule, groups, teams are selected can those selected buyers begin to purchase according to their favorite teams and games.

Scotland/Ireland.....would have been better; the nations that were just pipped to the tournament by Austria/Switzerland in a vote.

Hey, that'd be great too.
I'm just loving Austria/Switzerland because I've lived in Austria for a couple of years.
It has the makings of a really greatly organized and fun tournament like this past WC in Germany.

I think "Experience Emotions" is a good slogan too if that is the proper translation?

Scotland/Ireland didn't have a real bid. They didn't have enough cities/stadiums.

If it's being done like the last world cup and Euro 2004 then this application phase will be for "blind" matches, where you choose that you want to see match C1 v C4 in Salzburg, for example, but with no knowledge of who will be playing.
Team tickets will be done at a later date, as will the option of being able to pick individual matches once the draw has been made, so you will be able to pick Italy v Poland or whoever.
Going by what happened in the world cup, anyone applying in this "blind" round (or any other come to think of it) will have most chance if they apply for the top priced tickets. There are more of them than other catergories, and they are less likely to be chosen by applicants.
