I know it has only been one day of practices so far, and it is clearly the honeymoon stage, but the differences between this regime and the past one are already noticeable.
I am not sure if this is unprecendented, I hope it is not. But I found it interesting that Hugo will have a continual dialogue with the 18 DT's in the league about players.

I am not as well versed in the history of the team as some others are on the site, so I am asking, has there been another coach who was so willing to receive input from his peers?

De La Torre wanted La Volpe to meet with previous NT coaches to give him advice for the WC. I think NTD were the ones that had that idea. It never happened.

this is the very first time i ever hear of such a thing. i think it's a great idea and will only benefit the NT even more. in addition, it will also unite Hugo with the club's coaches.

I think it's a great idea too. Who else would know thier players better than thier own coaches. Hopefully he doesn't get misinformation though, because it can be pretty easy for a coach to overhype someone if it's to his benefit (like having an NT player on his team for name recognition) or underhype him if he wants to keep him for important games that may interfere with NT duty.
I think Hugo is smart enough to sift through that stuff though.
