i hope he can too, he is the anchor of our team (defensively). I just hope we extend Diego's contract quickly before he has such an amazing season that he is whisked away to the Premiership!!:p

i didnt say an eternity...i said soon...2-3 years is soon for me, i'd like to hope he can last until the next world cup :)

he did say the next world cup was his goal

and that if they had won this time then he would have quit the national team.

not just defensively...he contributes a LOT in attack as well.

Actually when baumann is there he doesnt do much defensively.

No I think that he did say that somewhere. That that's the only club he'd move to.

1. Frings is not going anywhere. If he leaves to a ************ team like aachen, he will go when he is at least 35.. this is a rediculous deiscussion.

2. There is no need to extend diego's contract this year, we have him for 3.5 more years... we would have to waste money on his contract if we make a new contract now... he will surely get more money

Is it just me or are a lot of clubs abroad becoming more interested in German players or players from the Bundesliga?

I think this would be a great development

It's only because they are cheaper.....

When ********ing Ashley Young moves to Villa for 9 million pounds and almost the same price is being floated around for Frings, that is why. I'd reckon Werder could let go for Frings for 15-20 million or even less, and Frings is 10X the player Ashley Young is.

Werder have just signed Ajax striker Markus Rosenberg.

Does anyone have the correct transfer fee?

Sometimes the qualities of the players don't matter rather than who is doing the buying, where and with what currency.

9M pounds is a lot and can buy a star player here. Not so in England.

Don't get your shorts all in a bunch over shit you can't control. The comparison you make just isn't sensible.

If you were, I couldn't see it.

You know that I know that :p

I'd rather hoped you did. However, to me, it looked like you were simply appalled that Young and Frings had the same price attached to them by someone..........

I think Rosenberg might be a great buy for you guys, he´s playingstyle is much more effective in a 4-4-2 playing team then in ajax 4-3-3, never understood why they bought him actually. But he has great pace and is a good goalscorer and passer, he won both the goalscoring and the assists in his last full season in the swedish league, and is truly a underrated striker. The only thing worrying me about it is that he has seemed to lack the right selfconfidence lately, and he might need a good start in his new surroundings to really boost him up to his normal level. But if that happens he will be great for you guys.
