good. so who do they play next?

12 Apr 2007, 04:43 PM
in the semifinals for the Uefa Cup it will pit these 4 against each other
Espanyol vs Werder Bremen
Osasuna vs Sevilla
so for now Werder doesn't have to worry about Sevilla until the final...the the "other club" from Barcelona (espanyol) will put up a fight

good. bremen are looking better now with borowksi and baumann back.
If frings leaves that might be a good thing for borowksi though....

Espanyol is going to be tough, they are a crafty side who can attack and defend when neccessary.
I think they are just as dangerous as Seville. Bremen will have to get a result in Spain if they want to get to the final.
An all spanish final would be just a nightmare.

Diego, easily the best player in Germany. AZ put two men on him, both got carded and eventually subbed off. :D
Espanyol are a better organized and more balanced team. I think it's gonna be two tough matches.

great game, i was singing and clapping the whole time!!!! Awesome to see Miro finally back in it, He looked great! Diego of course was the maestro. That last goal, that tick-tack-toe play with Diego, Almeida and i cant remember the third guy, was absolutely fantastic. I think we have a good shot at the Cup if we play like this. and hopefully Mertesacker will make a quick recovery so we can clean up that back line.
BTW Naldo's free kick attempts were pretty good looking, we could easily have had 3 more goals!

but at least one german team play internationally now
I wish you win the whole UEFA cup
you should make it.....
and you can make it!
good luck Werder.
you made my day yesterday....great game...
impressive Klose and Borowski..
congratulation
from "sad" Leverkusen
That Diego cross that lead to Klose's 2:1 was beautiful.
I wish we had anyone on our team that could play a cross like that from time to time, sadly we don't.

That cross was beautiful.
However, what I was wondering was, "Where was the defense??" :)
But, Werder goes all the way, winning an epic final over Sevilla that outshines the all-England CL Final! :D
