I love Allofs' reaction. He knows Andreasen can step in and Werder won't miss a beat! :D
Guys, I'm sorry, but I have to give my opinion on this.
This is why on other boards and our e-mail list, you will see me calling Torsten Frings an egotistical hypocrite.
He had and made problems at Dortmund because he wanted Rosicky's job. He was a f#cking malcontent at Bayern because he wanted Ballack's role.
Now, not even a year after saying he would never leave Werder except to play at Aachen before retiring, he's sitting here saying he's "seriously thinking about Juventus" because they want to make him "THE" playmaking midfielder??
And after the way he admonished Klose earlier this season for having thoughts about leaving??
Again, sorry guys, but this is one selfish mother f#cker.
He cares about himself. Nothing else.
I just lost all f#cking respect for this guy whether he leaves or not.
I hope he does leave. I don't think it was a coincidence you guys won the championship the season after he left before.

They score always and a lot, but they also always conceed a goal (normally)..
AZ is the only team in the Netherlands who plays always attacking football, that's their style.. They will never play to keep the 0... That is also a reason why they are only third in the dutch league.. If they aren't 100%, they will lose (like Newcastle-AZ..)
Don't forget they were almost in the final two years a go. A goal in the 120 ET minute was the end of their Uefa cup dream. Without the ET they would have been in the final.. (away goal rule ;) )

As long as they don't underestimate AZ they should be fine. And by not underestimating I don't mean the usual "of course we'll take them seriously" gibberish.

They won their last two ties with away goals. Score at halftime in Alkmaar:
0-0

Not bad at all for AZ. Werder needs to play a more open game in search for a goal at the return match, which will give AZ the space they need. And, AZ not scoring for two matches in a row is something that is rarely seen.
Werder played well though, especially defensively.

Werder did a decent job. A shame Fritz couldn't finish that great chance early in the game when he was one-on-one against the keeper. Some funny scenes with Wome and Naldo on the other end of the pitch so they should be content with that result.
Allofs said AZ are "topclass European team", Wiese called them a Dorfverein. :D
I'm not a psychologist or something but I'm beginning to wonder when it's time to put Klose on the bench. It's come to the point that he actually hurts his team. In the last games he was the worst player on the pitch by a countrymile. It was a ridiculous decision to sub Almeida.

0-0 is a dangerous result,
but the next match is in the Weserstadion
and i am sure the players are on fire.

Really? I'm glad you're sure. I'll truly take some comfort in that.
I sure as hell am not.
Alkmaar are a sneaky bunch.......

Very important win today. :)
But for a very high price, Mertesacker will
be out for the next 3 or 4 weeks. :(
P.S.:
I don´t no, what the referee thought, when he ended the match.
Miro was 1 vs. 1 against the Nurnberg keeper.

Yea, it was quite hilarious, too bad Klose didn't give an interview after the match, would have liked to hear what he thought of the ref, who wasn't very kind to him at all.
But it was a good laugh. :D

if it was still 0-0 i'm sure he would of kept the match going...but it was already 1-0

Propably yes, but you know, how many minutes Miro is waiting for a goal.
Well, ok, on the pitch Miro took it cool, and laughted with the ref.

all because Klose is a team player...and even though he is waiting for another goal, the most important thing to him is the result of the club. that is why we all know he laughed it off at the end after rubbing the official's head when the match was over

hes the kind of player that you love to see. Sure it was a crazy time to blow the whistle and im sure Miro wanted to smack the ref in the face, but thats why we love him! because he's a team player

And you can believe I'm very worried for Sunday as a BVB fan. I saw the signs of life in Miro that I was hoping to see AFTER this weekend! :D
