Might give Werder management something to think about.
They will finalize the permanent deal in the next couple of weeks.

I'd say Leverkusen have a better chance to knock out the big teams remaining in this tournament. Some of Bremen's key players will return just in time but they won't be anywhere near 100%. Any half decent team would've killed them in this round.

Yea, but not every team is crap like Celta Vigo, who played with avirtual B team and had many injuries too.

And Werder have plenty of weaknesses as well. Namely, none of their players in top form, which is a major problem. They're no Hertha or BvB, but they're still not in good form.

Given, but there is nothing about teams like Seville or Tottenham that makes them clear favorites over Bremen.

I would say Sevilla would be clear favorites actually, but it depends on whether they get the right result against plucky Shakhtar.

But I'm not just convinced with Bremen. I agree with Hendrik that Bayer seem to be more equipped to dealing with European powers.

We'll have to see.

And Shakhtar deserve credit for holding Seville, they almost won it as well if it wasn't for the late goal. They're not a bad side.

Not much. Every time i watch a game at the Weserstadion I'm kinda relieved to see that there's at least one stadium in the BL that has worse atmosphere than us.
And they even have an excuse, that crappy stadium.

The atmosphere at the Weserstadion is not bad, it´s brilliant.
Sure it´s no all-seater, but the fans make very much out of it.
TV stations like ZDF turn the volume down, because it´s loud,
come to it to enjoy the live atmosphere.

When you see ZDF you could think, that Rapid Bucuresti have
a good stadium, because their were very lood at the match
vs. Hertha last year, but c´mon, if you open your eyes u see,
that they ue subwoofers and loud speakers for it.*

* this is no offense to Rapid, it´s just an example (and the truth)

btw: Thanks to the team for a good second half and a welcome to the 1/4-finals.

i have no doubt we will be back in form for the rest of the run...look at what we can do while in form? one point shy of knocking off Barca??i mean sure they arent as good as last year but look at the points for that grouping 12-11-10-0........people were calling for us to be beaten both times by both Chelsea and Barca....i have no doubt we can pull this off...Klose will be back. Sure not in 100% but he is still better than most strikers.

Berbatov is on a hot streek though

Unless the noise level of my earlier stream was more enhanced than this one, I firmly believe 19000 (if there were 19000 fans there) Leverkusen fans were louder than some 39000+ fans in Bremen

yeah we were pretty loudly..

anyway I´m happy that with us Leverkusen, Bremen also advanced..

congratulation you guys too

I hope you had such a great party in Bremen as we had in Leverkusen.

I have been there quite a lot, would never judge atmosphere only via tv.
So why were the whistles so loud and the "brilliant" atmosphere so quiet?

I think as long as Bremen don't make the mistake of underestimating the Dutch, like they did with Ajax and like Newcastle obviously did last night with AZ, Bremen should be OK.

I guess they are spoiled.
I don't even know how that feels to have a team that's constantly scoring tons of goals at home and wins so I won't judge the fans too hard.

Seems like the players were actually mad about the whistling:

Bremen is lucky to get AZ in Alkmaar the first match. AZ seems to have magical powers when they play the second leg at home. Still I think chances are 50/50.

I think that when you go into a set of matches KNOWING what the other team is capable of, you have a much better chance...Newcastle took care of business at first, but slacked off in the end. I think we can dump these guys as long as we dont ever let our guard down.
