I would go as far as to say he's one of the top 5 midfielders in the world at the moment.
Yea, thats right!

Yeah it's a bit harder to say it about a player when he doesn't have the media profile isn't it.
But I agree with you. Since the beginning of the world cup he's been one of the very best and is our most important midfielder bar none.

I think it is beneficial to him...less pressure! Look at Ballack taking a beating from Chelsea fans...want him to perform miracles! Deisler and depression? No thanks!

Bad game from both sides IMO. But we were lucky with that in the end. Piss porr Ajax performance.
Oh well, we need to focus on the league anyway I guess.

Congrats to Werder on this impressive & deserved win, even if it was quite obvious that Ajax couldn't perform on its normal level with all those missing players and the yellow-red card in 1st half. About the 2nd goal, I don't think that many referees give it...
Now I'm hoping that you are going to screw the HSV and gift us 1 point at Borussia-Park later on. ;)

What is Aaron Hunt like? He is linked with a move to Everton in today's press.

Young, has a bit of speed, aggressive, just got his first German cap, still needs work on his overall game, but would fit the Premiership.
However, I can't see him leaving Bremen with Bremen more than likely to lose Miro Klose and the strong possibilty that Ivan Klasnic will not return hanging over them.
Hunt is their top young striker prospect and Klaus Allofs didn't get Werder to where they are now by selling players such as Hunt.
He got them there selling useless strikers like Nelson Valdez to suckers like my club for 4.5M Euros! LOL!! :D
Sorry to go off there guy, but I really don't see Bremen doing this at all.
I think the kid gets linked with a few English clubs because one of his parents is English.

well they are showing this match on delay saturday day night at 9:30pm Central time here in the USA...it should be a pretty interesting match, or a blowout with Bremen completely clobbering Hamburg

Anyone have the highlights of the UEFA match vs. Ajax? Fox Soccer Channel only showed highlights of the "CSKA Moskva - M. Haifa" game (great highlights to pick -it ended in 0-0  ). I really hate this channel for news, but it's all I got.

transfer rumours: Werder might be interested in signing Urby Emanuelson from Ajax and an amateur player from America named Craig Dalby has an offer for a try-out.
