Keep it going in here, and try to keep it as clean as possible. Personally, I'm out at the moment so I haven't been able to keep track of everything posted in the original thread, and I apologize if something has been reported and not taken care of yet.
If there is something urgent that comes up and Ian or Billy are unable to respond, please feel free to contact Clan, Rick B, or sarabella.
Thanks :)

omfg(OH MY FUCING GOOOOOOD!!!!)...
im gonna yell this to you big soccer geeks...
HENRY IS THE BEST IN THE GOT DAMNED WOOOOOORLD!
So i had something to do when the live game came on this morning and missed most of the second half...me and my daughter were watching the game together..she woke me up when rooney scored...but i crashed back out.
Then she wakes me up when the game is over..(i swear to god) says..
"dad...it was a tie..flabergast(however you spell it) scored..and it ended on a tie. I could have came on the site and looked and probably found out she was wrong. So the replay just comes on ..i figure it sounds like it was a good game from my daughters account..why not watch it.
I do....i remember them saying earlier on in the first half on a missed henry header. Henry is a great man...but the man lacks in the air(headers).
So i see both goals in the second half....i figure.."you know what..my daughter is a kid..let me see if something else happens after regulation is done and injury starts"....
LOW AND BEHOLD BAAAABY!
MY BOOOOOY!....AFTER THE TALK OF HIM NOT BEING GOOD WITH HEADERS..OR IN THE AIR..HE ENDS THE GAME...
"LIKE THE BEST PLAYER IN FUTBOL WOULD"....
"WITH A WIN!!!!"...IM BOUT TO CRAP MY PANTS PEOPLE..CRAP THEM!!!:D :D

Well, I just saw Sir Alex in the post-game interview and I figured out why he thinks that Carrick was the best player on the field.....it's because he's really really really mad at all the other players -- the defense that gave up 2 goals in 10 minutes and the offense that didn't generate any threat. Usually I can't tell what he's thinking and he looks kind of affable even if it's a really horrible loss. Not today!
I watched a little of the game again and realized that after minute 70 or so it looked like an ice hockey playoff match where the ref has swallowed his whistle. (except for Ronaldo's yellow of course)

11 for them if you look at it my way that our goal diff is superior and 6 points means we'd have to lose 2 and them win 2 to draw even and they'd need to win again because of goal diff.
so for now they have basically 11 games to turn it around.

A lot of people might say that Arsenal deserved to win but the fact that we were leading with less than 10 minutes to go and then we lose bothers me a lot. We have been making a number of mistakes in defense against other teams recently and we've gotten away with it thanks to our scoring. Only 1 clean sheet since November. We conceeded only 6 goals in the first 12 games of the season but 13 in the last 12.
I think most people before the weekend would have been happy with us still being 6 points ahead after. I don't think Liverpool or Arsenal are threats to our lead but I hope failing to stretch the Chelsea gap today when we are in a great position to do so with 10 minutes to go doesnt cost us in the end. I think Chelsea will get their act together with 2 relatively easy home games in the Cup competition coming up. I can see this giving them more confidence once the league program restarts after the FA Cup weekend.

All I can say is ********. There was no reason to lose the game, it was pretty much both ways and in fairness should have ended 1-1. Although we really should have won regardless. :(
And entertaining match for neutral and GREAT for me... then all was downhill and I was really downtrodden the rest of the day, twas such a let down.
At the very least, O'Shea didn't get to play.

Regretably, I agree with you, the only real competition for the title could come from Chelsea. That said, Chelsea are self-destructing and their injury crisis is still a concern for them. I know this loss hurt, but in May the prem trophy should be covered in red and yellow ribbons.

Still gutted (and bloody tired).
I thought our lead was always precarious. Although our midfield possession improved a little in the 2nd half, throughout the whole game, we were not in control of the midfield, and Arsenal made lots of pushes deep into our defense and set up decent attempts and we often looked uncertain. If you allow that often enough against quality opposition and you will pay eventually.
This was a big opportunity missed for us.
Oh, and the Ronaldo yellow was rubbish.

Just got home after a long day out. First want to say that I'm a little disappointed at some of the reactions and comments in the match thread. Some folks really need to put things into perspective. Yeah, the loss hurt, but we should be at least somewhat gracious about it. I'm not here to lecture anyone, but sometimes we all need to chill just a bit.
It was a hard-fought match that I thought was harmed by some poor refereeing decisions and tactical mistakes from SAF. I'm not too happy with the way we've looked defensively the past few weeks, in the midfield as well as the backline. We're giving up a lot of space and not marking very well.
Also our forwards seem out of sorts--I'm not really sure that the Rooney-Larsson pairing works that well, although on paper it seems like it should.
Tough loss, but Arsenal certainly weren't poor. They just waited until late to take advantage of the chances we were handing them. We fell apart mentally late in the match, and their two best players took advantage.
The title wasn't won today, but it wasn't lost either. A true champion knows how to recover from a loss like this one, and I think our guys will do just that.
