View Full Version : Would Foreign Players in Mexico Be Good MLS Targets

I have to admit, I have no idea how much top players in MFL make. But as we all stew about DPs and other acquisitions, I was wondering if foreign players in Mexico would be good targets for MLS.

DB just got the top scorer in Honduras. Okay, so how about some top South Americans from MFL? Seems like when MLS gets top Mexicans from MFL (read national team players) it pays a premium because they are also supposed to be a draw (not sure how this has really borne out at the gate). I'm not sure this is the best bargain for MLS.

I don't know who they might be - and they might not be worth a DP slot - but are there players in MFL from Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay that we could get for Christian Gomez-like salaries? And might not some of those players like to come to MLS for the lifestyle and exposure to Europe?

Just wondering...

Most South Americans in MFL, make 400,000 close to 2 million dollars. Great irony of this; most of the MFL's income from the US.

Vincente Sanchez would perfect Houston and DC.
