What a statement! I've never heard of a team being tossed out in the middle of a UEFA tournament. The sanction usually was imposed the following season or the next time they qualified.

Spurs is expected to receive a bye into the next round.

Spurs is expected to receive a bye into the next round.Uefa will decide if we get a bye or play another team on Monday, if we get another team will probably be Wisla as they finished 4th behind Feyenoord.

would only be fair to play wisla, really, UEFA will probably give them a bye though.

I'm just stunned that UEFA have actually done something decisive.

Meh!

If they were one of the so called 'big clubs', you could bet your grannys last quid they'd have just been slapped on the wrist.

This just shows UEFA up for the spineless mugs they really are.

It's little better than the school yard bully picking on the smallest kid on the playground.

You mean something like forcing the abandonment of a game by hitting the opponents keeper with a flare?

Nancy sold tickets to banned supporters from feyenoord. The fans who caused the trouble didn't get their tickets through feyenoord.

as clans say.. if this had been a g14 club it wouldve been just a slap on the wrist.

Shhhh !! Quiet ! ;)

You're messing up UEFA's strategy by trying to change focus and attention to Feyenoord alone, so that all the other matters ( PSG one of them ) will be left alone.

Big turn around, first Feyenoord got a fine and a few matches without the fans, now they get kicked out? Common....

It's a good thing UEFA starts acting against the problems, but ffs, grow a pair and act against every club.

When it doesn't happen in the stadium, there's not much that UEFA can do about it.

True, but shouldn't Nancy (if they allegation that they sold tickets to banned Feyenoord supporters is true) be punished at least as harshly as Feyenoord. By banning them didn't Feyenoord do it's best to prevent the incident?

If it's proven they did, then sure they should have to play some matches without fans. I also believe that the punishment given to Feyenoord is too harsh, and they should instead have to play without supporters and with big fines, considering the punishment Inter got after the match with Milan.

Feyenoord even warned the French authorities beforehand and supplied a list of fans with stadium bans, but what did the French do? They let Feyenoord fans in without even checking their identity, and these are fans who aren't allowed in at any Dutch stadium.

It seems very harsh to punish Feyenoord for something out of their control. It also seems very odd that the club was initially let off easily and now gets this extremely tough punishment. Like I said on the Dutch board: I smell a rat.

I'm surprised there hasn't been an official statement yet whether Tottenham will get a bye...or if they will re-instate Wisla back into the fold. I hope they will let Wisla in, and i have been checking all day for the news, but nothing has been released yet :(

This happens all the time at European away games. And even if French police would have been bothered about hooligans, they probably would have let them in, in order to better contain possible violence.

It happened at Lyon-Ajax, where many Ajax fans got in for free (thanks to Dutch police, even though the French had to agree of course) for that exact reason.

Anyway, I already said how I feel about it on the Dutch board. And it has been said before here. Roma, Inter, Real, Milan... none of them got any crap like this from UEFA.

The double standards are unbelievable. I also see a massive difference in the way Southern Europe and Northern Europe is punished for these things, they're always very harsh to the British as well.

And that's not even getting into the racist abuse players get in the Balkans - when's Uefa ever going to properly do something about that, I wonder.

I have a feeling that they will give Tottenham the bye since it is taking soo long to make a decision...the only question probably is how much money if at all does FIFA/UEFA give Tottenham

looks like they got a bye if the news is right, told ya they would.

Unfair on wisla though IMO.
