Fellas, you mostly post on the newcastle message board.

Where I reside.

Surely you need to look no further than my posts.

Unbelievable some of the things being said in Yanks Abroad about the Toon.

It's amazing how some American who's been watching soccer for 2 years and supports a team that was created in 1996 out of thin air can flippantly dismiss a historic 110 year old English footballing institution. I'm glad we don't have any plastic fans, I know almost all the Geordies and Yank Toon supporters in Seattle by name and I hope it stays that way.

That's what seperates us from the unwashed masses.

I haven't bother to read the YA dreck. What sorts of things are they saying? Newcastle aren't "that good"? Gooch should be playing somewhere better?

The fundamental problem with Yanks Abroad is that people have loyalty to players instead of clubs, which, unless you know the player personally, is kinda weird.

The one I loved was that Newcastle and Fulham are basically equal because 1point seperates them.

I love how I made an intelligent post in there (one of the very, very few in the Gooch thread), and it got totally overlooked except to point out that I misunderstood the Uefa cup-tying waiver.

It's mind numbing over there. I can't wait until they actually watch Newcastle play and then the complaints come flying in.

There are way to many posts in here to reference them all, so I will just add the whole thread.

Makes me want to be even less friendly when they invade our board.

It's nice to see that people are making it easier to locate the stupid quotes by posting them directly to this thread.

Sweet Moses. Someone on the Gooch thread on the main Newcastle board thinks that:

1) John Terry is the only English defender who is currently a better player than Onyewu, and
2) Onyewu will surpass John Terry

1) is just wrong, and 2) is a tall order

Yeah...I'm just going to post the entire Gooch Fanboy Thread (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=470945) from our very own board here as a pre-emptive measure. It's bound to carry this thread past the max post count at some point.

Not exactly related to gooch, but case in point (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showpost.php?p=10605255&postcount=194).

I usually hate to call out our own, but I can't ignore someone saying that we should play Bramble at the back and at the same time get rid of Ramage because he's shit and makes too many mistakes.

For the record, they're both shit and make too many mistakes, and we should rid ourselves of both of them.

Is this the first "Gooch is the best player on Newcastle" (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showpost.php?p=10607790&postcount=336) post?

That post in itself isn't overly stupid, as he put in one of the better efforts of any of our players today (not saying a whole lot, really), but it's sure to bring out a glut of stupid posts. :D
