My dad got a new minivan which I could talk him into lending me(more people!). I would be up for driving to see the superclub again.
Hopefully both NY trips will be bus trips as long as we can get enough people for both, which I think we can.

Maybe?

Thursday, Aug. 16
New England Revolution at Colorado Rapids, 10:00 p.m., ESPN2
I want to go even with this on a thursday. Outlook is about $400 per person from a quick search for a group of four (edit - flight/car/hotel). Yes, I am interested.

Two Saturday trips ... that means hopefully buses for both!

Riders at the Dick!

Beckham's game will be here 8/12.

Get your hate on:

16 of the Galaxy's last 17 games will be on one of the four Providers

After Beckham's scheduled arrival, only the Galaxy's Aug. 5 game won't be televised nationally on one of MLS' four national outlets: ESPN2, Fox Soccer Channel, HDNet and the Univision Spanish-language channels.

By mid-August I should have no problems getting a day or 2 off, the irony of my life right now, I cannot take a lot of vacation, while I work on a project that is converting vacation balances..so basically I can't take vacation while on the vacation project

Saw this posted over in N&A by a DC fan:

OTOH as a DC fan I'm feeling fortunate that we're scheduled for 2 home/1 away with the Fire, RedBulls, and Revs and 1 home/2 away with the Wizards, Crew, and Toronto.

Coincidence, or MLS favortism?

I don't think it's MLS playing favorites, but damn good for them that their three main competitors/rivals all have to go to DC 2 twice.
On our side, we have to go to DC, NJ, and Chicago twice (our biggest rivals) and host KC, Toronto and CBus twice.

So as much as they got lucky, we got screwed.

Schedule breakdown for the Revs is as follows:

7 Sunday games, 4 of which are at home.
4 nationally televised Thursday games, 3 of which are on the road.*
19 Saturday games, 10 at home.

Also two mid-summer home games on Sunday afternoons at 4pm. Yuck.

*You don't think our pathetic attendance has anything to do with us not hosting too many do ya?

Factor this in with the US Open Cup Dates...

July 10th Third Round MLS Enters
August 7 Quarterfinals
September 4 Semifinals
October 2 Finals

In true fashion, the New England Tax Write-offs don't have their ticketing system up and running yet. I tried to buy Aug 12th tix but no, I cannot.

I checked a couple of other teams who have both the 2007 schedule and ticket systems up and running.

Oh well, the pros and cons of being a team which is essentially only an investment.

Oh, yeah, like we'll have to worry about more than one or two of those dates, tops. ;)

Wait a minute, didn't we get screwed with the schedule last year? I'm sensing a pattern.

Kraft reminds me of my dad... he could buy any car he wanted but insisted on driving a S*&tbox.

I for one am glad that someone else gets to play the whipping boy in Colorado's annual 4th of July game this year.

I don't believe you can buy a ticket to just the August 12th game anyway.

You need to buy season tickets to buy now.

I'm gonna guess that the game on 6/16 vs. the Crew will be bundled with Gold Cup action.

To clarify tis, you can buy if you are a ST holder or a group leader of ANOTHER game. For now, you can't just buy a block of tickets to this one game unless you buy an equal block to another game.
