early days I know.
Hoping this early game is on FSW, as usual. It'd be great if we get 3 points on Sat and have Arsenal drop points on Sunday.
Arse fans (and players) are already looking to Rooney and co. to trip us up at Goodison.
kinda funny to see really. almost as funny as Arse fans rooting for Spurs on the weekend.

Just to state the obvious, this is a must win.

As with last week, I think we should feel free to discuss the Arsenal result as well. They are playing Leeds at Highbury on Sat. Leeds have a lot to play for, as they are only 3 points above the drop zone.

Arsenal and Leeds actually play on Sunday. By then United will be 8 point ahead and knowing the must win their last 3 games, Arsenal will be panicked. Plus they have a multitude of players injured. Leeds to win this one!

Leeds also get 750K quid in Rio related performance payments if United win the league.

With no midweek game, it sure seems like a long wait.

it'll be interesting to see who starts in goal for us. as far as I know Barthez is not injured.
roll on Sat.

Apparently Barthez flew to France after being dropped for the Spurs match. He was back in town by the time of the game, but didn't even make the bench. He just got engaged too, BTW. I'm thinking it's Roy Carroll's job for the last two games...

I'd much rather see Roy in there than Ricardo.

So after not playing in his team's Euro qualifier against Portugal, Ruud will apparently be ready to go this weekend against Charlton. Holland coach Dick Advocaat said Ruud had minor injuries, but those should be healed by the weekend.
I guess we can expect Roy Carroll in goal for the final two games of the season, meaning we may have seen Barthez on the field for Man United for the last time.

I don't know how to feel about that.

Barthez has been named in the squad for tomorrow, no word on whether he will start, make the bench, or be dropped...
Gary (foot surgery) and Phil (sore throat) are the only injuries...

Beckham @ '11 then...Wow...Carrol with the howler of the year and Charlton ties it up one minute later...I wonder what Barthez is thinking...

Great work by United as Ole takes on two players along the sideline serves it back to the top.
Ball is played to (I think) RVN on the right who hits the far post with his shot.
Ball is settled by Keane whose drive is deflected wide for a corner.
MUFC in command right now

HALFTIME
Manchester United 3 (Beckham 11, RVN 32' 37')
Charlton Athletic 1 (Jensen 13)
MUFC dominating play and looking like champions.
Defense has rarely been troubled and they were one poor Roy Carroll clearance away from a damn near perfect first half.
Let's hope they don't take their foot off the pedal in the second half.
Keane is playing great. Ruud.....what can you say. Tim Howard got a mention as well.
