Only United. Brilliant.

This isn't my happiest moment but this match was a classic and it sums up Roy Keane and what he stood for at United quite well. ********ing legend.

And since I'm on the topic of Keane...

I would have to say the Sheffield Wednesday game back in 1993 when Brucie scored twice in the last few minutes to win it. That was the turning point that season when we actually believed we could win the premiership.

Watching United 6-1 Arsenal in a room full of Wengermaniacs.

The goal in that game when Scholes let it through his legs to Yorke, who then passed it back to Scholes, 1-on-1 with Seaman, who STILL passed it back to Dwighty for an empty goal tap-in... one of the best United goals I've seen.

One of my favorite days was when Keano joined in 93. I was only 5 and only been following the game for about a year, but he was already my favorite non-United player. It's funny, back then I'd watch as many United games as I could, but even though I saw them win a lot, I never put it together that they were a top team. It wasn't until 95-96 when I realized how great the club was, partially due to a neighbor who was United-crazy. Of course that was the season when our kids came back from a big gap behind Newcastle and won it at Boro on the last day. That was another of the happiest moments.

Giggs scoring at Highbury to level the match at 2, thereby further turning Arsenal into a quivering mass of jelly during the run-in.

That "not so fast..." response after Arsenal thought they had taken the points just symbolizes to me what United are all about. Fantastic moment.

the 2-4 game at Highbury in the 04-05 season. Seeing Giggs and C.Ronaldo get the three goals together was spectacular enough, but the final goal? Seeing Gaby Heinze bomb down the flank, involve Saha and Scholes, and all of a sudden seeing O'Shea hit that incredible chip? Absolutely priceless. The commentary I was watching was great as well.

sorry to interrupt, as i'm not a man u supporter. but i'm going to throw out there that there has never been a point at which i was more impressed by united than their second half perfomance at juventus in the CL* semis (or was it quarters) in '99.

it was a staggeringly awesome performance. nothing like the desparate last minutes of the final, where they just threw everything forward and munich couldn't hang on. it was a thoroughly professional dismantling of a very good italian side on the road when the pressure was on. united at their best. brilliant.

*i'm presuming the "other than the treble" in the thread title is referring to the CL final only. if i'm wrong on that, feel free to delete the post.
