We have a Bruins and Celtics thread, but not for the team that has a chance to actually do something.

So ... what do people (other than Nathan) think about the chances this weekend against Goober and the Dolts?

No Doubt the Pats will win

Manning will choke because he spent too much time during the week filming more commericals about how he is going to the Super Bowl and not enough time preparing for Tom Brady

You mean spent too much time trying to exhort his fans to not sell tickets to the Pats.

Seriously... that's what you're worried about going into the AFC Championship game?

Some historical perspective on last sunday:

It will go down as one of the biggest chokes in Chargers history no matter what.

Because the Pats have won three super bowls, it will take them winning it this year for that game to be considered one of the great wins in team history.

This week game scares me because the Colts haven't had that high powered offense and that weak defense the last three weeks. That makes them very tough to prepare for.

I just hope it doesn't come down to a field goal......

But I think it will.....Colts by 3 in OT:o

Yeah, it's been weird to see them winning with their defense. Not that they've played teams with good offenses (terrible QB in KC, an OK QB in Baltimore). But they have surprised me with their defense.

And Goober hasn't played his normal self in the two games either (1 TD, 5 INTs).

Of course, Brady had a below average game for him as well on Sunday, so ...

It all started with their last game against Miami. Then again, if they had allowed 400 rushing yards that week, we would be plaing in San Diego this week.

Texans In 07-08 Baby Whooooooo!!!!!!!

EDIT: In all seriousness, I really think this is it for 'em. Manning has a tendency to turn into Bledsoe against the Pats, but I really think that the way he played against Baltimore showed me he's got a bit more than his arm. He was actually running for once.

NFL Championships, none. AFL Championships, two. Don't forget when the Titans made it to the Super Bowl in 99, only a few years after reolcation

pats will win. Although Indy has the #1 defense in the playoffs right now, I dont see that being a big problem for the patriots. Two players do worry me though, Bob Sanders and Dwight Freeney. Patriots will have to do a good job pickin up Freeney and using screens and quick handoffs to make em think about blitzing. Also Brady should be able to pick em apart using short passes. Sanders was sick in the Pats/Indy game (from what I remember, I watched the game @ 2:30AM after getting home from the Revs/DCU game).

One key to the Patriots victory: BENCH BEN WATSON

I wonder if the Pats lose, Kraft would have time to focus his attention to the Beckham hoopla and offer up money for a DP? Stevie does have the contacts.

I just can't see Kraft turing his attention away from the Pats as long as they are alive. The euro transfer window will have closed before the super bowl, so some of those players may have other deals in place by then.

I'd be torn if I didn't have so much regional pride.
