They may have been restricting his play as a way to better appeal the FIFA ruling. If he hasn't played (significant minutes) for WHU, then perhaps FIFA has more room in allowing the transfer to occur now.

The question of why are we transferring him (when he's probably better than any midfielder we can get our hands on in the xfer window) instead of keeping/playing him, though, who the f*** knows?

It will be quite painful to see Masher & Gerrard controlling the middle of the pitch, but I am looking forward to seeing what talent we had and never used.

I'm not. We all know he is capable of alot more than we have seen but I suspect money, business or political reasons are preventing us from playing him and it's making our club look like a bunch of mugs.

We will get stick for letting him go seemingly without caring and none of us will get to know the real reasons behind his lack of playing time.
