Now that it's finally nice out, people are out all over the city playing soccer. For those who might be interested, here's a list of places you'll likely find a game at. All of these are near the UofM so feel free to add spots from the rest of Mpls. and St. Paul....

-Northrop Mall at the University of Minnesota
Every Friday from around 5 till dark.
There are usually two or three different games going on at the same time and things can get crowded on a busy day. Skill level varies from horsesh!t to amazing. The less skilled players usually get weeded out from the hardcore guys pretty quickly and form their own game off to the side. Games usually max out at 7 or 8 a side due to confined area and bags or cones are used for goals. Show up, introduce yourself, and jump right in. Anybody's welcome and just about every nationality is represented. There are also games going on here most Wednesday afternoons too, but not as consistently as Fridays and usually less people.

-River Flats at the University of Minnesota
Not sure on days or times, but there usually seems to be a game going on there most Wednesdays.

-Van Cleve Park at 15th and Como in Minneapolis Again, not sure on days or times, but there were a fair number of people out there last Wednesday afternoon.

-280 and Como in St. Paul
Apparently a good place to play pretty much any night of the week. Some guys I played with last week said that there are almost always people there during the week anytime after five. Full size field with goals.
