What places do you recommend for a good place to have a few beers? Here are a couple of mine:

Saturday mornings:
Phoenix Landing (Cambridge)- Saturday morning is a great time for a pint while watching the match

At Night:
Sunset Grill (Allston)- 112 beers on tap, approximately 5000 in bottles
Green Briar (Brighton)- I have never paid a cover, relaxed atmosphere
Stanza Dei Sigari (North End)- someone on here posted it back in the summer and a few of us went there...nice cigar bar with tons of air filters so you dont choke to death

Happy Hour (if it was legal to call it that):
Sidebar (Downtown Crossing)- $7 pitchers
An Tain (Milk Street on the edge of Faneiul Hall)- $6 pitchers, darts

Best crappy dive bar:
PJ Kilroys (across from An Tua Nua, off Kenmore Square)- thanks to Seamus for this one...biggest dive i have seen despite being so close to Kenmore, BU and Fenway

Bukowski's ... one of the best selection of beers in Boston.

Any place that has good beer and allows you to smoke cigars. :D

Yeah Bukowski's is pretty cool. They have a peanut butter burger too... which was interesting.

I like the Brendan Behan in Jamaica Plain. Cheap drinks and darts.

Flat Top Johnny's (Cambridge) or Big City (Allston) for pool and beers.

If you can get over the name, Ri Ra's in Providence is a good place to get all the regular imported beer (Boddingtons on tap) and has a pretty good scene at night.

I like MccFadden's in Worcester.

Not because of the beer but because the hot bartenders dance on the bar.

Vaughan's in Hartford is pretty decent, a little pricey and the crowd tends to be the "see and be seen" crowd during the weekends. I am surprised they don't air EPL or any other soccer games, the owner is a Celtic fan who gave me a pint on the house when I wore my Celtic kit. He also gave myself and another Revs supporter (his name isn't coming to me) a round after the MLS Cup loss.

City Steam Brewery is also quality in Hartford. They brew their own beer, and they have an impressive selection.

I'll second that. :) I spent many a Thursday Night there during my collegiate years.

I hear Hogan's Run in Brighton is kickin y'all.

If you party in RI, the jewel of West Warwick's nightlife has to be Borowski's Pub down the street from Breads n' Stuff.

You know Cornwall's was closed on Monday...I was not happy about that

Never been to Bukowski's but I liked the Druid in Inman Square...very very small but it was nice

Don't forget to break that bottle over some guy's nose if he even mentions a number of a driver you don't like.

"Did you just say that you just "eight" some food? Junior's an asshole!"

I just found this place (http://www.mattmurphyspub.com/index.php?bandwidth=high). I think I'm going to start going on Tuesdays as I'm a big Sam Kininger (who is in B3) fan.

The Red Hat is a classic dive in Government Center.

The Phoenix Landing is probably my favorite pub in the whole area really. The month I spent there during the World Cup was amazing and will never be duplicated.

I liked the old Baseball Tavern...not the new one.

That place is like two blocks away from my school. I still have yet to go in though. It looks nice enough.

The Field - Has the coolest bartender in Boston. The only bar tender I know with a lazy eye. He pours a great pint of Murphy's, too.

I have to throw in a plug for "The Swan". It's where the Kendall Cafe used to be, and it is rather like the Kendall used to be, just newer.

Oh, did I mention that it is almost directly across the street from my place? :D

I don't know, Pat at Crossroads used to float us free pizza on Sat afternoons after my club team's games. We had to buy at least 2 pitchers (which was no problem, we typically got 8-9 pitchers).
