Okay, I know the game is not until next week, but I thought we could get some pregame discussions going.

Two players who have not been included into Avraham Grant's squad are former Atletico Madrid midfielder Avi Nimni, and Manchester City's Eyal Berkovic. Berkovic is an obvious one as he has not reached full fitness since his injury. Latest reports say that he has started training with City's reserves in hopes to regain his fitness.
Avi Nimni does not strike me as a national team player. Yes, he does score big league goals but has not proved himself with the national team. It's like Moti Kakoun. He had two great seasons in Petah Tikva, he was invited by the national team coach, Richard Moller Nielsen, and never proved himself. Take a look at Nimni's season at Madrid. Pure crap, and don't try to back him up with four games that he played with Derby County, one goal in four games for such a crap Premiership side is okay, but I need to see him prove himself on the world stage because Ligat haAl is too sketchy for us to base our opinions on players.
Meanwhile I think that if Baruch Dago had been healthy then he would be a shoe in for this game against Cyprus.

Well, Yossi Benayoun gets no playing time for Racing Santander meanwhile they refuse to release him until after Sunday's match against Malaga. Also, Hapoel Tel-Aviv skipper Yigal Antebi has stopped training with the national team due to injury.
The national team will practice two more times in Caesaria, before jetting to Palermo, Sicily for the match against Cyprus.

that's kinda rediculous. they don't release him, but yet they don't use him. sometimes the logic of people amazes me.
that's too bad about Yigal Antebi. what is the full roster for this game?

Israel 2-0 Cyprus
Despite some saying that we dominated the match, I am appalled by the fact that it wasn't until the end of the game that we were able to score. Walid Badir scored a great goal, the second was pathetic and we can't expect to score like that against France.
The next two "home" games will be played in Anatalya, Turkey. Closer to home but it is no Ramat Gan.

well congrats to Israel for their win. i didn't get to see the game. oh well. they tell us that they are going to show us these games, and then they don't.
but if you say that Israel didn't play well, then i believe you. and if they didn't play too well against Cyprus then that is worrying. i hope they pull together for their next games.
