The David Beckham Thread

yup its done.. the beckham transfer saga and the whole- will he leave, wont he leave madrid rumblings r over and he has signed with LA Galaxy.. just wanted everybody's opinion on that.
Specifically, on the following issues:
1. What effect, this move has on MLS? Will it really improve the quality of the league, or its just a flash in a pan?
2.What effect will it have on beckham's career. Although his England career seems over.. which I think is a bit unfair..

It is definitely a big news story and it will bring alot of media attention to the league. Depending on how much of a contibution he makes, it could be great for the MLS and perhaps attract more big name players who may be getting to the end of their careers.

I might even make the 12 hour drive to Toronto to watch him play against Toronto FC this summer.
