Arsenal fans are getting a pretty bad name on this thread. I'll give you my story, it might sound like a story of a true band wagon fan, and you could question my love for The Arsenal, but i know where my heart is.
I am not saying that all us American posters on BigSoccer are superficial fans, many of us follow our team with as much passion as they do in London, Manchester, and Liverpool. However, some just like the sport of soccer, and follow any team that they think is "cool". Watch a couple of games, give it a couple of season, and one team will ALWAYS catch your eye, and go above all of the rest.
Agreed. If you really think about it...the same could be said for the fans that live in London that support Chelsea or Arsenal....or may even venture out to support Man U or Pool. (and really only get excited about the matches when the teams are in contention for a championship.) I'm not seeing so many Palace fans on the boards. Hmmmm.
The teams I have been drawn to are the less obvious teams....typically because I love the play of a player or of the team, the history of that team, etc...
the only big 4 that I like is Arsenal. (and that is because I really like the play of that team....) but if it came down to a match between Arsenal and Fulham..my heart belongs to Fulham...always.

Without likeing one more than the other, I have good reasons to support both Arsenal and Chelsea. I was firstly born in the West London area very close to Stamford Bridge, but I grew up in the North London area fairly close to Highbury. So I've never ever wonder which of the two I should support full time. I like to see both do well.

No, don't sugar coat it.
It's ok to come out and say it.

At least you are staying up... at the start of the season i thought you were in for a rough time this year. And your UEFA cup run wasn't too bad either.

The Cup Run was awful. They did what the always do. Get us all excited and then break our hearts. It's a vicious circle.

Just pick either Arsenal, Man U, Chelsea or Liverpool, because otherwise you'll never get to experience what victory feels like.

Why is it that you get crap for liking one of the big 4. Some of the greatest players in the world play for those teams, which means....they are fun to watch. It's rather silly if you think about it...the whole Plastic thing.
Anyway, just watch ALL of the teams, and one will pick you.

Nah, if that was the case, you would have chosen Charlton or Birmingham City. :p

Newcastle gives you just the right amount of light and the end of the tunnel, and then one night in Zaanstad it all goes away...
