I have supported Liverpool through the good times and bad times for 33 years and I would not have wanted to support another team if given the choice to do it all over again.

It's a good feeling isn't it? I feel the same way about Chelsea. I just wish I could have been with them in the 70's and 80's.

I feel the same way in that I wouldn't choose another team if I had the chance. Wouldn't even cross my mind.

How did you get involved with 'Pool?

My first football coach at age 7 was a Englishman who supported man u.I did not like him ,but his son(my best mate) and I decided to become Liverpool fans and never looked back.Later in life I lived there for awhile.

Got to be Liverpool mate, we have the best supporters after all, we donyt just sing when we are winning, so we are by far the best team with the best supporters.

What MSC is saying is that he has only seen Liverpool play when it's broadcast on TV, because he's a shit. Anfield always has a great atmosphere. Legsie's comment was pretty shit aswell, do you really think Liverpool fans are the only fans who sing when they are not winning? And if that was true (which it isn't) how does that make them the best fans?

Why would someone choose a team to support simply because the other fans are good? I don't understand how that would be the turning point, it matters ******** all how many fans your team has, you support the club, not some ********** who like to wear the same shirt as you.

Stewie (to Lois): Look at him. He runs like a Welshman. Doesn't he run like a Welshman? Doesn't he? I think he runs like a Welshman.

Arsenal is the team to support. Been good to me these last 26 years.

No, I'm sorry to tell you that where I live there is a Reservoir a minute away walk to the East, and another a minute away walk to the West, I get my water from those. Too bad lambcock.

Erm... You're not everyone in England. Which is kinda the point. Clearly.

This has been fun, but also boring. Go figure. Bye-bye now Mr. Massiv!

Alright, people -- I am totally new here, but I've read this entire thread

I'm in the same situation as many people on here: An American who is starting to really, really appreciate football and needs a club to get behind (to make it more fun if nothing else)

As far as the Big 4, the only club I would consider is Liverpool, and that is almost entirely due to Gerrard. I read his autobiography, and have watched him on TV a few times. The guy is amazing. They have the history and passionate fans as well, and seem like a good enough club to pick

When I was in London last May, I had a chance to hang out near White Hart lane during the Liverpool/TH match. We didn't get into the match, but went to a couple of nearby bars and had an absolute blast. the people totally accepted my brother and myself, as two yanks with no clue. Admittedly, I started to want to learn more about THFC after the Bill Simmons EPL article, so that is why we decided to spend the day in tottenham instead of chelsea or west ham, who also had home matches. That whole experience left me with nothing but great feelings towards the Spurs supporters, and pretty much placed THFC squarely in the lead.

The other situation I was impressed greatly with was Fulham. Yes, they are a shit Premiership team right now, and barely dodged relegation, but the area of Fulham and Craven cottage are amazing, so I can see the appeal there as well.

This whole mess with Robbie Keane has drawn me away from Liverpool, and leaves me feeling anger towards each of the Big 4. It's going to stay the way it is as long as those teams are scooping up the best players from the rest of the league. what the hell. (rant over. sorry)
