But Liverpool are playing far far far better than Chelsea, and Wigan are better than Fulham. :D There will be no upset!

Wigan may well be better than Fulham this year, but when they wake up, they're still in Wigan...

Why, are they relocating to England in 2010?

And, well, I see you're new, or a sock, but why wait a few years, can't stand to support a team that may actually lose? You better hurry, I think the bandwagon is about to leave town without you.

[QUOTE=pookspur;14378950]actually, the real 'curbishley curse' is when clubs tends to believe that they're really better than what curbs is getting from them. they then drop him for a less capable manager, and soon find themselves where they belonged all the time. be warned, west ham.*

fair point about late-season mid-table motivational struggles, of course; but that dynamic is hardly peculiar to his sides - trust me, i'm spurs. and full marks to him for constantly having talent-poor (well, at least not talent-rich, anyway) teams safe by mid-winter.

curbs is class.

... in my opinion, anyway. QUOTE.

I don't dislike Curbishley at all. He's not had the best of luck this year, with injuries I mean.

Harry? The market trader? Good manager and coach, but I believe the term 'sticky fingered git' would cross the pond ok.

Harry has made some great signings at Pompey, but has shown he is a bit inconsistant after making some awful ones with West Ham.

Bilic should take over from Curbs, I know that's what every Hammer wants.

All this anti Curbs stuff is errant bullshit. What is he supposed to do? Walk on water? Look where we were this time last year? Look where we are this year. I call that moving in right direction

But that's not the point, look at the money he has spent, and where they are in the league, it's not like West Ham needed their whole squad rebuilding anyway, and then look at some of the awful signings he has made.

With the money he had people were expecting (including me) them to be challenging for the UEFA Cup positions like they were 2 years ago. 2-1 against Derby really isn't good enough, and some of his substitutions yesterday were stupid, even though Cole for Sears paid off.

He actually spent very little money, balancing buys with sales. And yes we're crap and could do better. I actually believe that with Curbs, we will do better, year on year.

He's spent alot of money, I'm not talking about this in terms of profit. West Ham fans don't like playing football like Charlton, and they don't like Curbishleys style, they want a bit of a swagger to the performance. Bilic is who they want, because they progression with Curbishley is going to be too slow, when the club have been bought with the intention of having an impact on the World merchandising scene. And everyone loves Bilic.

Ah bollocks!
Green? Style!
Anton? Style (when sober)
McCartney? Stylish
Sears? Style
Ashton Stylish
Cole?

Sears? What.. Ashton isn't stylish either he's just fairly agile for his size. And it doesn't matter if players are stylish, it's all about the way they play as a team, when Bolton had Okocha and Djorkaeff, we didn't play 'stylish' football, but it was the best football we ever played in the Premierleague.

Isn't this supposed to be a which team I should support thread?

It appears it's just turned into general discussion about a bunch of lower table sides?

Nothing against your teams, but... there are other places for the past few pages of stuff.

It helps people to decide which team to support.

Which, of course, should be my team. (Sentiments expressed by everyone) which by the way are not in the lower half of the table West Ham are tenth and have been since the first proto-amphibian crawled out of the mire singing bubbles.

Those sentiments aren't expressed by me. I haven't once in this thread suggested it. I'd rather the club pick the person, than the person pick the club, if you know what I mean. I wouldn't want someone who should be supporting ManU, for instance, think that they were really a Newcastle supporter. It's funny, too. Because quite a few Mags have posted in this thread and not one of us have suggested the Toon. Birds of a feather and all that.

And I'm pretty sure the majority of BS posters consider anything outside the top four as lower table.

I'm just speaking to my audience. :D

And we'll be seeing what we can do about West Ham and the lower half here in the next few weeks.

If you want more people who know nothing about the sport supporting your team go for it, personally I only want people that care about the club to say they support it.

people who know nothing about the sport should be taken out and shot. Slowly like by Willow in the penultimate series of Buffy. Naturally they should then be flayed alive. Or they should support West Ham like the hobbit does
