Good luck catching up to the Gers.

Cheers. I've got a feeling though that the title will go down to the last day again. Its already done that twice in 5 years, and if you don't call that exciting then I don't know what is.

its quite simple

u want the best its:
Chelsea
Man utd
Arse
Pool

then there are the almost best:
Everton
Aston villa
Man city
Portsmouth
Westham
Tottenham

the rest are useless nowadays

i support chelsea, and started to before we were bought by a russian mega-gangster

i started becaise of one player: Gianfranco Zola, the only italian who became someone in englanda player who never dives (NEVER), had a heart of gold and loved the game

my suggestion is u pick your fav player, like from the world cup or somehting, and follow the team he plays forI would add Paolo di Canio

I think you should support whatever team makes your heart warm and beating. I think you could also go with the color you like best on a uniform. I would recommend Togo as a ntaional team bc they are the best team in the world and club wise I would pick the cleveland gladitators for AFL and fulham bc they suck and they need some love

I'm an arsenal fan. You know how i chose them, since i live in the states? I watched the FA cup final in 05, it was the first Pro soccer game I've ever seen besides world cups. Arsenal won and I've been a fan ever since. I guess I'm a bandwagon fan that never fell off... picking a team to support is easy, staying with them can be difficult at first.

I support Arsenal FC. If you are looking for a bright team who uses power, passing and pace then arsenal are are the team for you. Arsenal are a north London based team who have a very good record and are one of the most succesful Endlish team ever. With 13 league titles and 10 FA cups , the record speaks for its self ;). So Support Arsenal If you are looking for a good strong team!

Aldershot Town FC.

Come on you Shots!

funnily enough, I was at Aldershots match against Tring the day they were promoted from Ryman Division 3 the year after the club went bust, and this week watched your team impressively beat Torquay, you had excellent support there as well for a Monday night!

forgot to tell you which team to follow/support, Sunderland would be a great choice, legend as a manager, a board of directors who love sport and put their money where there mouths are, an unbelievably passionate support base, recently there were over 500 Sunderland fans down at Charlton for an FA Youth Cup match on a Thursday night in London! and a club being re-built from the bottom up, great things await the loyal Sunderland fans...Sunderland is the team to support

I thought we were talking about premiership sides?

And before the Newcastle comment you're about to make... how many out of the last ten seasons has Sunderland been in the top flight?

If you want to actually be able to watch the games in the states you'd be better off choosing a team that will most likely be a staple in the premiership for the years to come. Unless you only want to be able to see your team play every other year or so.

well the great homecoming of kev has gone down like a lead balloon, I presume you think that you are too good to go down, I hope you think that at least, you are in worse trouble than we are, you cannot win a game and with alan smith playing up front your bound to never score again..we may have been rubbish for year s but at least we have rebuilt from the bottom up, ashley your prize chairman already wants rid, and who could blame him..haha

How about the Rovers? :)

I`ve watched on and off since the 70`s when always I rooted for Leeds....that`s when I jumped on the big bandwagon, but since then I many never see them on TV again in the USA....:D

Other teams in contention are..
Sheffield United
Crystal Palace
Newcastle
Aston Villa

I don`t know why...after 30 years, those are my standouts without the top 4. I already jumped on the big bandwagon, look how that turned out. LOL

Why only Premiership sides. To be honest, i've gotten totally fed up with the divas and prima donnas of the Premiership. OK, my team are in the Premier (not sure for how long ) but there are many clubs someone could chose to follow.

Well, first, I'm pretty sure that the original poster was talking about premiership. Second, if you are in the US it's pretty much impossible to see anything below that on television. And finding internet feeds is a pain, plus they're pixelated and grainy at best. And if you're already in the UK then you probably already have a team and a good reason for it so you don't need the advice here. Nothing against Championship sides except that.

Honestly, it's really not that exciting to follow a team if you can't watch them play, at least not for me.

Apart from the grammar, thats how its done. For most football supporters, your team is in your blood, your background and your locality. I can understand yanks et al wanting to plug into that. For you to find it funny I find frankly disturbing. Presumably you dont like, appreciate, or understand association football

Actually, I was laughing at the irony of a Man Utd. fan in Florida talking about glory hunting. I thought it was fairly clear but obviously not. And I find it disturbing that low IQ posters such as yourself are allowed to post on these boards.

Most people would agree that starting a sentence with 'and' is at least bad form and almost certainly bad grammar. My IQ, seeing as you mentioned it, according to those ridiculously flawed tests, is actually quite frighteningly high. Please do not change your habit of unthinkingly insulting people; it provides a certain low level of humour to the rest of us at your expense, which of course for us is no expense at all.
I find it enriching that such prejudiced pillocks, such as yourself, are allowed to post on these boards. Free speech is a wonderful thing.

LMFAO. Am I allowed to say that?
Anyway: the IQ bit. You must be joking. Low is a relative term; and in the IQ sense, only I am allowed to use it when referring to Stomper.
How anyone with your standard of grammar can write that is frankly amazing. Clever too, in a way, because you say more about yourself in a couple of lines, than a biographer could say in a book.:p

Getting back to the thread; I am a West Ham fan. I never wanted to be, I never planned it, or even thought about it. I just am.
My great grandfather worked and played for Thames Iron Works, which later became West Ham Utd. I went to school just a spit and a stones throw from their ground. I played for West Ham schoolboys at several age levels, but was never good enough to be a professional footballer. I am a Hammer; and we are the acadamy of football. Everyone knows that. We produce more internationals, through our youth system, than any other team in the PL. Only Man. Utd. come anywhere near us.
If you want to join the cockney boys from the East End and have a team that suffers embarrassing defeats and amazing victories, then you are welcome to our site.
