Spurs were the team with the most promise for the future. And when I say that I mean next season were due for big things.

I am new to this forum as well, and in the few EPL games I have caught, Chelsea has been the team that has caught my eye. Maybe it is because they seem to be full of players I recognize from the World Cup. Would Chelsea be a good team to follow? I am looking for the positives and negatives.

POSITIVES: Supporting one of the better teams.
NEGATIVES: Supporting the team that every other fan hates. Even lots of Leeds fans wanted Man Utd to win the the league, which says a lot. The arrogance of Mourinho, the poaching of younger players from smaller clubs, they get away with anything......

My advice is the same I'd give to EVERYONE. Don't make a decision after seeing a few Premiership games. Take the 07/08 season and watch as many different clubs play, and whatever club draws you in for whatever reason (style, players, etc.).. read up on the club and it's history..
Finding a club to follow is pretty difficult especially for Americans who have no regional alliegences. So take your time and make an educated decision.

Completely agree, I would say don't just support the better teams, there is little more exiting that relegation battles. As Fisher said watch the whole season, see who plays the kind of football you like.

How about Reading? I'm looking for a EPL team to support and Reading seems like they'd be an cool team. I saw them play a few times and it was fun and they're a team on the upswing it seems. Thoughts?

While I wouldn't call us "neutral" fans. But I agree with the general sentiment of your statement.

Man Utd have gotten together to protest the continued presense of the Glazier family at the club.
Fan protests have been planned for London, Copenhagen, New York, Tokyo and Sydney, however there will be no protests in Manchester as this is considered too far for Manchester Utd fans to travel to.

Yeah, support a London team - Dag & Red. You're new to the game, they're new to the league. Seems a perfect fit.
