I forgot that there were only four teams in the Premiership.

Please get out of life now.

Jesus, now u wanna come down to this...

Okay then,

If you want to start from the bottom, Havant & W, Lewes is the one for you, currently Conference South.

If u wanna support a fallen giants, how about N.Forest? they r on the way up.

If your life is bored, and wanna a nut manager to light it up, I'd suggest Plymouth Arglye.

If u get sicked of the red, blue jersey, by all means go for Wolves and Barnet. I love Orange.

If u wanna support a club reborn from the dead, how about Accrington Stanley?

the list can go on and on. but i bet eventually you would still end up supporting either one of big 4 I mentioned. that's why i posted it there initially at the first place.

It is unlikely someone would start supporting someone outside of the top league (minus those being promoted) but many start supporting other Premiership teams.

If you want to watch FOOTBALL, then Arsenal is your club.

If you are someone who loves fighting spirit, never say die, Man Utd is the one for you.

If tactical intelligence is what you are after, look no further than Liverpool.

If you want easy glory, instant success... go for CHELSEA.
If you like to see your club have a new manager every month or so support Newcastle United.

If you seek a club that loses but never gives up seek Watford

If you or any of your relatives like the French National team support Arsenal

If you are a fan of the USA national team support Fulham..thats a order!

WATCH as much of the Premiership as you can for ONE SEASON.. objectively. The team that draws you in for WHATEVER reason... there is your club. Just learn as much as you can about the club and all that good shit.

or maybe you could just pick your local team? I don't know, if you live in America then pick a championship side with a bright future so it will test your loyalty!

Just because I have to live in Pittsburgh for School does not mean my heart changes to the Steelers.

Manchester United won the league so you should support them. Imagine the pride you'll feel if they win the FA Cup!

I surely don't sense any glory-hunting here.

This is kind of a double post, but it seems like to place to go to find a team (I posted in another thread, then I noticed this thread). I am from America, and looking for a team. I love the underdog, but not the dog. My favorite baseball team is the Red Sox, and in hockey it's the Boston Bruins. I love the brides maid over the bride, but not the ugly sister who is forced to sit in the back. I hate all teams from NY who seem to try and buy a team. I also love a long tradition in a team like with the Sox and the B's. I also love a defensive game, like the methodical German National team (or at least it was until the WC) over Brazil's flashiness. I love the trap in hockey, pitching and defense over home runs in baseball, and a 3-0 defensive struggle in American Football. I also love passioate fans (one of the things that draws me to the EPL). In the US, it's tough to get enough coverage to truly engulf yourself to a point where you can fully experience enough teams to become a fan. I'm looking for a nudge in a certain direction to concentrate in. If in my studies I find a team that I like more than the ones I was looking at, then that's great. I'm looking for a place to start and go from there. After reading this thread and doing some research, I seem to have narrowed it down to 3 teams (though I'm still open minded):

Tottenham -
Love the tradition and underdog role. Love Berbatov and Keane. Don't love the up and down attacking style (though I understand most people love that style)

Newcastle United -
Again, love the tradition and underdog role. Love the passion I hear about with the fans. Not a huge fan of any of the current players. Also, a little low on the table right now.

Everton -
See above for tradition and underdog style. Don't hear as much about the passion of the fans, or loyal following of the other two. None of the current players catch my eye.

errr... New England Revs? If you want an English underdog, pick Leeds United. A couple of years ago they were in Europe now they are in administration and going down to League 1. If you want to follow a team, that is trying to crawl themselves back into glory, pick Leeds.

IF you want a team that will fight for Uefa Cup spots and maybe have a decent chance in the domestic cups, Everton and Newcastle are decent picks likes you pointed out.

I'm tired of people saying they think Newcastle is a good choice for people looking for a team. I had no choice but to support Newcastle so I do. It finds you not you finding it. Be patient for christs sake, or you will end up changing teams 3 or 4 times.

naw..not the celtics..thats based on a irish background..
go with the gunners..you cant go wrong with van persie..or the african(can spell his name),or tourre, and henry..cant go wrong..just be like me and hate "Lemon" with a passion...then you will fit right in..

by "the african" do you mean Emmanuel Adebayor??? I started watching soccer/football was because of the World Cup and my favorite player to watch, by far, was Thierry Henry...so, I like to believe that Arsenal kind of chose me, although once I started researching I realized that I would be considered a "glory hunter"...I don't care, I chose Arsenal before I found out they were in the big four.

As for the local support, the nearest MLS team to me is 3 hours away, is the Wiz, who ruin the beautiful field, whilst playing in front of 5,000 in a 80,000 seat stadium that is home to my beloved Kansas City Chiefs(whom I am a season ticket holder of, and have been attending every home game since I was 3). I am also a season ticket holder to my hometown Des Moines Menace, who are an amatuer club in a development league, so I feel that that covers my fair share of local support.

This reminds me of watching the last world cup and seeing Drogba play for the Ivory Coast and Shevchenko playing for Ukraine. This made me support Chelsea.
